Bad service

EL PASO, TEXAS -- I am really disappointed with my service with Time Warner Cable. This is my first time with them and Its already a bad experience. First of all, I was charged for an on demand movie that refused to show. and when I called to complain about it, the customer representative couldn't explain the reason why. Secondly, I was charged an additional amount that couldn't be explained why I was being charged for. I feel I am being ripped off by this cable service and I am thinking of switching services.

Lousy cable service

DEFIANCE, OHIO -- We have been TWC customers for around 8 years. Service was pretty good at first but about a year ago it started getting bad and after complaining at the local office they gave me a phone number to their service dept.. I called them several times and they claimed they checked the service via the cable connection and that everything checked out OK. Several years ago when we had problems they sent a technician out out who fixed the problem. So I feel service is getting worse. They have the only cable service in this area but I would not recommend them to anyone.

Bi-Bilingual Requirement Being Shoved Down Throat

I saw a TWC Spanish commercial on an English speaking channel. Stop blending languages. It's insulting. Americans can choose several foreign languages to learn in school but it it isn't required to be Spanish. If I want to watch TV in another languages, I'll change the channel to one that speaks that language.

If you live in texas, or any state where theres mexican cultures living and being raised, then you WILL have these kinds of advertisements. Its only fitting since texas has a lot of mexican cultured people in it. Don't like it? change the channel.

Not Better Than Nothing!!

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA -- Hands down one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. They always have random charges on bills that when you call to ask about they can magically take off. They will call you a liar when you call to cancel your service, Continue to bill you even though you have canceled and turned your equipment in. I paid my account in full and received a collections call 6 months after cancelling, meanwhile never receiving a bill, saying I owed for the last 6 months(even though I had canceled and turned in my equipment, with receipts to prove so). Upon calling to inquire about this I was told I never called in to talk to them about cancelling. They said "Our records are very accurate and you did not call." I had to provide a detailed statement from my cell company as well as receipts for the equipment at this point because they magically now decide I may not have turned it in (a different story than 2 minutes ago). We now move out of state from Time Warner this a separate occasion, and repeat process from above has now been initiated by the great CRIME WARNER CABLE. and on top of all this after having had them for a total of 3 years I had to have my refurbished 1980's style box replaced 21 times in 3 years. that is right incase the number is hard to look at here goes-TWENTY ONE replacement boxes. What a trash company. How can this be allowed. BBB complaint number 2 coming from me.

Worst Customer Service

PORTLAND, MAINE -- By far the worst customer service I have ever received. Called the first of this year to cancel my cable subscription and then received a bill at the end of the month. They totally disregarded my call and never shut off my cable. I was basically ignored and now have to pay for something I thought was taken care of. BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU USE A DIFFERENT PROVIDER.

Horrible Customer Service and Extremely Long Wait Times!!!!!

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN -- I called TWC to find out what was going on with my online bill pay. I never miss a payment ever and TWC cancelled my payments as they arrived from my bank. I called to see what was happening and I wanted to make sure that they were receiving my payments. First you call the 800 number and go through the ringer for 25 minutes just to get to a real person. Then when you reach a real person, they are not the correct department so you are then put in the never ending phone loop once again for another 25 minutes. After 50 minutes of wait time you arrive to the right person and as they answer the phone, the service representative accidentally hangs up on you and does not call back. I have called 3 times since and to this day, I have still not resolved the issue.

Refusal to Downgrade Services

GEORGETOWN, INDIANA -- I called Time Warner cable to downgrade my services due to excessive rate increases. (Time Warner recently acquired services from Insight in my area). I recently transferred my phone number to a new carrier (Magic Jack) that saved me several hundred dollars each year. I contacted Time Warner customer service to discontinue my phone service and to downgrade some of my cable services, I did this on 1/9/2014 after Magic Jack completed the transfer of my Phone Number. Time warner cable told me there was a lock on my account due to the phone number transfer and that they could not process any changes. I asked them to go ahead and note the cancelation and they said I would have to contact them after the account was no longer locked, The service representative could not tell me when this would happen. I then asked to downgrade my cable services and was told they could not process any changes. I also attempted to downgrade via their Chat service and was told they could not process downgrades via chat. *** They can however process upgrades through this service.

Terrible customer service. Cable freezes, pauses, then place catchup. Billing is inconsistent, not a big deal but annoying and questionable. Just canceled mine, can't take it anymore. I suggest don't waste your time and go with another service provider.

This company is so crooked its ridiculous. I'm being charged for remote fees. Yes I'm paying for each of the remote controllers every month. Shouldn't that be included with the boxes that I'm paying for? Beware of this company and review your monthly charges, for they are quick to tack on extra fees without notifying you! I'm done with this lousy company.

Worst Tech Services

This has been the worst experience with Time Warner cable. My Internet has been down for over 3 months. Scheduled over 5 tech service appointments and no one shows up ! Then the guy over in a third world country tells me to sit around the whole day to guarantee a return. I am livid with their service. Closing account. Bad service and overrated with prices.
