CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA -- We switched from Verizon to T-Mobile several years ago at our adult child's request. The relationship with this carrier has been excellent - as long as we never left home. The limited service plan was a hassle, but we chose to live with that limitation until recently.

Retired, we have traveled quite a lot over the last quarter of 2013. During those 3+ months, we had virtually NO PHONE SERVICE while traveling - except when we were home to prepare for the next trip. I do not believe we should have to pay T-Mobile's normal rate for that time (Sept - Nov) since we probably had service only 50% of the time - maximum.
Also, we had an ill family member during the Pacific NW vacation and were very frustrated to be unable to receive emergency calls or to call to inquire about them. Additionally, when we were in far Northwest Continental USA, we occasionally had phone service but T-Mobile reported incorrectly that we were in Canada (never) so data roaming charges were incurred. Thankfully, T-Mobile refunded those charges but there was still the risk they wouldn't and the hassle to get that done.
Again, T-Mobile products and service OTHERWISE are excellent, but these were severe enough issues that we switched to Verizon as soon as we returned home. I am writing this in the hope T-Mobile will realize how critical coverage is and expand their area. Thanks for listening and sharing this.
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA -- The money that we pay for these high tech qualify phones should never have a reception issue especially within your own home. I was once a Sprint customer & I've never experienced a bad reception service. I would really like to have this matter resolved, I'm more than certain I'm not the only customer having reception issues with y'all service. T-Mobile I really hope this matter is taken seriously, if not you won't just be losing me as value customer, but many, many, many other value customers as well.Add reply
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- The signal does not work in most NYC buildings and storefronts. On the street the signal is good, but, if you are inside somewhere the signal shows as "no service" and you cannot use the phone. This is deplorable and unreliable. If you decide to engage in business with T-Mobile you are asking for trouble. The few $ you may save each month over Verizon are not worth it. A phone that cannot be used is pointless.Add reply

GRAND HAVEN, MICHIGAN -- Since July 12th, 2013, I have no service in my area in SW Mi. Prior to this time, I had service since 2008 when I contracted with T Mobile. Calls to customer service and visits to T Mobile stores have not helped. Phone calls and messages left at their corporate offices have not been answered. After reaching the 5th "supervisor, I was hung up on with no resolution. I cannot receive calls or make them. I was told that AT&T will no longer share their tower. What can I do?Add reply
STREAMWOOD, ILLINOIS -- Tmobile fulfillment center came to visit the dealership I work at a few weeks ago. One of the sales reps, "Steve" approached me with an offer that he claimed would reduce my monthly bill. After asking several questions about the offer he assured me I would be able to use my old phone (Samsung s3 with sprint) and that data would be unlimited. He told me that my phone would have to be unlocked and after asking the right questions he finally admitted that 4g data would be, "throttled" down to 3g data.

When I finally got my contract it clearly stated I could not use my phone with Tmobile service and I later discovered I would need to pay up to 300$ for this, "unlocking" service. I ended up paying about 20$ to have the phone shipped back. Steve promises to cover the shipping cost. I then receive a second call from Tmobile asking for my tracking number again. I am now told I will be billed for, "pro-rated charges" on a phone I never even turned on or used. Hope this warning to potential Tmobile fulfillment customers is helpful.

The 4G works intermittently in midtown Manhattan -- flips back and forth to 2G. Customer service is incompetent; I switched SIM cards, then handsets, and then was told that I couldn't expect reliability. If you need reliable Internet use another carrier. Add reply
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- Over the past several months to one year the T-Mobile signal at my residence has gradually degraded to now no signal at all! An "SOS" has replaced the typical bars on the phone. I have called numerous times to "Customer Service" but to no avail. Now, I have to leave home to make calls! I live in a large metropolitan community of the City of San Diego comprised of light industry and residential homes and extremely annoyed at the apathy regarding the urgency of having no ability to use my phone and having to drive somewhere to use my phone!

The only reliable aspect of Customer Service are their return phone calls several days later asking if your problem has been resolved, which of course, it had not been! So annoying!
FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- I got an LG Optimus 1 and it just stopped working after about 3 months. No problem, got a work order number and mailed it in. T-Mobile said they'd have it back within 7 business days. Well they mailed in on the 7th business day after the received it at 3pm and mailed it on the slowest shipment possible. It arrived 3 days later. To make things even better it didn't work! I called them and explained what was going on, they checked 2 things then told me I'd have to mail it back! No "For all your trouble we'll just let you go to a T-Mobile store and get a replacement immediately." No, "Because you're phone will have been useless to you for over a month we'll credit your account for the months payment you never got to use." Trust me, go with another carrier! Even the little guys like Boost and Cricket give better customer service.Add reply
