Take the cash you are going to pay them and put it in an emergency fund.

jkt is telling you right. Save yourself a lot of grief. Sock that money away you would have given them. Use it IF something needs repair. Pick your own servicer. Local companies are usually better than the "big box" people.

Home warranties are mostly a scam. They have more ways to weasel out of paying than a dog has fleas.

Just remember to put it back every month, just as if it was a bill.

personally i've never heard of a home warranty before today

and both times over that specific company.
odd.

I don't think you could gather enough positive compliments to consider them based on such an egregious BBB record. What others have said is a good idea about creating an emergency fund. Either that or just pay for repairs as they occur. Home Warranties rarely pay for themselves and I see them as a very poor value no matter which company you look at.

Run, don't walk from this company, I had them and they are nothing but a BIG rip off. As someone else said, it's better to take the premium you would waste (and I do mean waste) on this company and put it in an interest bearing savings acct so that when you need repairs you can get the job done without having to fight, fight, fight with them. Horrible company.

RE: Unit G 133
Posted by on 10/13/2001
TURNERSVILLE, NEW JERSEY -- I have never used this facility because I was issued the wrong entrance code. I was locked inside the facility for over two hours on Sunday, August 26, 2001. When I reached the unit the company had put another lock on the unit and I was unable to enter. I contacted them on Monday, August 27, 2001 to complain and to state my displeasure. Since then I have been harrassed at my parent's home with phone calls and letters.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:

Cancel all debts because the facility was never used and nothing is stored in it.

At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
