LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- Immediately after the impact of my Audi vehicle being hit from the rear, I called Travelers insurance, my carrier, and received instructions as to how to proceed to get a loaner vehicle, they arranged with 24 hours to have an adjuster come to my home to view the vehicle, and then offered suggestions of where to take the vehicle for repair; once I selected a repair center, the vehicle was picked up from my home by a flatbed truck, and repairs proceeded. Great service, constant follow up to keep me informed, thanks Travelers, I have my vehicle back in as new condition as when I first acquired the car.Add reply
CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA -- Changed insurance carrier to save money. Within a month as a new customer with Travelers Insurance, lightning fried our house generator. Thinking we would be on our own to make an "unnecessary" and costly repair, we filed a claim anyway. In 2 weeks, we were reimbursed. I have had Travelers Insurance for over 15 years without a single claim. I recently had a pipe burst with flooding and they not only refused to cover it, but canceled my insurance after they told me they were not covering it. They did not even have the decency to inform me. I found out from my bank / lien holder on the house. This is the WORST company. I strongly advise you to SWITCH if you have them.Add reply
NEW YORK -- I lost my engagement ring which I had for more than 30 years. I thought that it had fallen off in my car, as I've had that happen in the past to a bracelet. When I realized that it wasn't in my car, I was very upset, as was my husband. I called Travelers to report the loss, and was very pleased to have someone call me back almost immediately. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- On December 22, 2013 midnight, there was a huge storm and wind. We heard alarm from house smoke detectors. We waked up and checked each room. We found leaked water from smoke detector on the second floor game room ceiling. We put a big plastic container under the smoke detector immediately and called Travelers insurance next morning. Travelers claim representative took a very quick response after we reported the weather related damage on my house and did professional way to inspect the damage on the roof and ceiling and resolved issue quickly……Add reply

My insurance claim was handled very professional and a check was given to me on the spot which I thought was very fair. I have checked various rates and Travelers was very competitive. I have been with them several years and have both my home and auto with them. Add reply
My luggage did not show up and the airline company could not find it and decided it was theft. So, the insurance company dealt with it very well to help me get close approximate. Amount that had been lost in the luggage.
The phone conversations would take few days to reach a person, besides I was satisfied with their service.
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA -- This was a survey of consumer satisfaction with handling of an insurance claim, particularly in regards to communication. Responses were either 1 - 10 scale or yes-no-don't remember. But at no point before the survey concluded was I allowed to state that the policy was still in the name of me and my late wife, despite repeated attempts to take her name off. This caused a problem at the bank because the check was made out to us jointly. I will attempt to rectify this once more when I renew the policy in February.Add reply

LAWRENCE, KANSAS -- A huge tree limb fell on my house during a wind storm. It happened on a Friday and the tree service couldn't come until Monday. It took 2 trucks, 5/6 men about 6 hours to remove the limb. The Travelers agent, Bobby Taylor, was here the next day. He assessed the damage, worked on his computer and explained the process to me. He then wrote a check on the spot that I thought was a fair settlement. I was surprised and very satisfied.Add reply
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- Danielle (who handled the claim) was extremely cordial, knowledgeable and able to answer my questions in great detail giving me comfort during a time a driver that had been found guilty on one DUI charge and had another case pending had collided with my car after speeding, driving recklessly and not yielding to my right-of-way.

HARTFORD, NORTH CAROLINA -- For 10 years, our homeowners and landlord insurance were with Travelers. For the first time, we submitted one small claim for a stolen computer. Four months later, just a few weeks before the renewal date, we received a cancellation letter by snail mail--not even a phone call or email or advance notice. TAMPA, FLORIDA -- Travelers insured improper lane change trying to jump from far lane down side street t-boned me driving straight obeying rules of the road. Police come give ticket to other driver and find him at fault. Travelers says waiting for police report for 10 weeks then gets it and says police didn't witness accident so there denying my claim.
Call your states department of insurance regulation and report as I did. They are stealing from people with claim denials.
CANYON COUNTRY, CALIFORNIA -- I had to do my floors through Travelers. They sent me a check for the repairs but when I asked them to give me the accommodation for a week because the house is not in livable condition the supervisor did not contact me for 3 days and after that they denied. I do not think I should recommend anybody to get this insurance because when they asked me to sign up they gave me the most expensive deal and whenever the time came up to pay back these guys they ripped me off.Add reply
