I've ALWAYS used Expedia but saw a savings of $100 and thought "Why not? My wife just buys more stuff." Right? Their commercials say they will match the lowest price. Big mistake! All online booking companies are not equal. I don't have the desire to go into the details but I'll never use them or their Indian support staff again. It is what it is!
Booked a last minute getaway package with Travelocity and didn't receive a confirmation. Had a hard time getting customer service, checked the bank, I was charged twice for a vacation package. After 4 hours I finally got a live person in customer service. I was told that they had no record of my booking a vacation package after speaking to numerous supervisors they finally found the transactions. I was told the charges would be reversed in 3 weeks. Now my getaway vacation is dead.
I called Travelocity to book my vacation. The lady on the other end seemed not to understand English and I wasted approx 1 hr with her. Then she said she got kicked out of the system and when she logged back in the price was higher by $300 (in 1 minute). I went online and could see the package I wanted at the cheaper rate and told her I would book it myself, which I did and had no problems.
