Wrong Room With No Compensation

Picture of call duration
ATLANTA, GEORGIA -- I booked a hotel room using Travelocity and when I got there they said my room was not available. The room I booked was on the 42 (out of 47 floors) and they put me in a room on the 27th floor. The hotel told me that of course, there was a price difference in the price of the room I stayed in and the room I payed for but they said I needed to contact Travelocity for the refund. After waiting for literally 59 minutes on the phone with Travelocity (I took a picture of the call duration) they told me that they could not do anything for me. Terrible experience and I will NEVER book through Travelocity ever again. I hope this review get published as a way to save other people from the terrible experience I went through.

Unannounced Fees Appearing on Credit Card.
Posted by Tjstratton on 12/04/2013
TEXAS -- I booked a ticket with Travelocity. When my credit card appeared I had an extra unauthorized fee listed. When I called they told me that the airline set the fee. I have two tickets with airline...one with Travelocity and one with Priceline. It was ONLY Travelocity who charged me. So not only did they add and unauthorized fee to my credit card, they lied about where the fee came from. Never again will I order from this company.

Fares posted are fraudulent
Posted by Artlipscomb on 11/20/2013
Tried to purchase airfare last night. Each time I clicked buy, the price jumped 200.00. Finally after 3 attempts went to Kayak and was able to buy for less than the posted fare on Travelocity.

Never Use Travelocity - Poor Service Booking Hotels
Posted by The_pc_guy on 11/18/2013
November 9 was our anniversary, we booked a trip to Vegas to enjoy the weekend. I got on Travelocity (first time using it) and found what I thought was a great hotel in Vegas. "The Palace Station" Ratings had the hotel at 4 out of 5 stars. The day comes and we take off for the road trip to Vegas. When we get there we check into the hotel. First thing the guy behind the counter says is do you want to upgrade your room for 50.00 more a night? I was like no thank you my room will be fine( remembering what the pictures looked like on Travelocity. He looks at me and with an attitude he said ok suite yourself. Tosses the keys on the counter and walks away. Well I wasn't going to let a pencil neck moron like that ruin my trip, so we walk towards the rooms to see them. Walked through the casino which smelled like a pissed on ashtray. We get to the hallway that leads to the rooms and I noticed that it's the back alley of the hotel. We walked past the loading docks and the dumpsters to a hallway where it smelled like a portapotty was tipped over. We get to the room and open the door and there are 2 full beds squeezed into a room that's about 10ft long by 8 ft wide. RIDICULOUS! By then I was pissed! I headed for the front counter and told the lady there I was not happy at all with the room they had given me and its not what I paid for. She replied with ok I have another room for you. It's 3 doors down from the one you have now. I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO EXPLODE!

Went to check the next room, even worse. I walked back to the counter again and told them that I was not staying in that room and that I would call Travelocity to help me make this right and the manager replied with ok. I'll check you out right now and I need you to leave. My Vegas trip was ruined thanks to Travelocity and The Palace Station Hotel! Bottom lines learned was to always use Expedia!

To make matters worse, I called Travelocity and was on hold for 8 1/2 hours. Just to hear them say sorry nothing we can do. It will take 7-10 days for a refund. Here it is November 20, still waiting for a refund. Travelocity is a joke!

The same thing would have happened with Expedia. They would have booked the hotel you wanted and that would have been it. The only difference is that your reservation would have Expedia's name on it instead of Travelocity. Your request of "making it right" won't be taken care of if it costs the agency any money to change anything.

Customer Service is WORTHLESS at Travelocity
Posted by Florbert99 on 11/13/2013
ONLINE -- I called to edit the info on a flight reservation I had made on Travelocity. I called the customer service number posted on their web site, 1-888-872-8356, as there was no on-line option to change the info I needed to change, and was on hold for over 2 1/2 hours to speak with a customer service rep, they never did answer the phone. In my humble opinion, they shouldn't even have a customer service number. It is worthless and has no value for customers looking to speak with a person from Travelocity, who do I charge for my time waiting to speak with a customer service representative that never answered?? My time is worth more than what I paid for the ticket.

Expired Ticket Credit
Posted by Reachnick2012 on 10/23/2013
Terrible company. I had a ticket canceled last year, attempted to use my $409 credit for a ticket for the holidays this year, they informed me that as per "policy",the credit had expired and I lost all my money. Where does the $409 go?? Right into the CEO's pocket. Bunch of [scammers].

The airline has the money, not your travel agency.

Horrible, Horrible Cutomer Service!!!!
Posted by Delaunay on 09/27/2013
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- - Got my flight changed in Casablanca coming back to NY.
- Live in Seattle and had a layover in NY and flight next day from JFK back to Sea-Tac.
- Spend the entire afternoon in Casablanca trying to change flight and hotel checking in date.
- They hire "idiots and the most stupid" humans available to head their customer service.
- It was so awful that finally gave up, called my brother in US to try doing something from that end.
Travelocity has lost my business FOREVER!
