MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE -- Don't use UPS. Stay with United States Postal Service or other carriers. UPS will hold your order/delivery in their warehouses for several days (just happened to me, multiple times actually) until they get their inefficiencies / internal issues figured out and are able to ship your order. Just look at the most of the reviews. Pretty straight-forward. You pay for their inefficiency with your time and, quite frankly, patience. The only customer service they are prepared to provide is to tell customers to keep watching their website until the product ships. Seriously? In this day and age??? Do not reward inefficiency with your business . ..1 Replies - Latest reply on 03/08/2014Add reply
UPS Are Idiots (Literally)
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- UPS informed me that my package would be delayed, after it arrived in Jacksonville, FL, due to "adverse weather". But Jacksonville wasn't having any bad weather!

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI -- Being an Amazon Prime member, I often order items from Amazon, but one is not generally given a choice of which carrier to use. That being the case, it's always UPS.
On one occasion, the package was marked as delivered but absolutely wasn't. Amazon had to replace it. It was likely stolen by the delivery driver.
Less than two months later, the package was supposed to arrive in two days. It didn't.
If at all possible, use USPS and avoid Amazon Prime as paying $78 a year for two day shipping is not worth it if they can't use a reliable carrier.
PORTLAND, OREGON -- I placed an order 10 days ago and QVC said my order would be here by February 3rd 2014, and I have no package at the end of the night. I am disappointed by the lies. Why not say a later date so your customers done get mad sad or disappointed. Depending on how they make up for the inconvenience, this may be my last QVC/UPS purchase of this magnitude. I made a $950.00 purchase the least they could do is be on time with it. I have never had a package come after the date it was promised by. It crushed my joy and spirit.1 Replies - Latest reply on 02/05/2014Add reply
AKRON, OHIO -- UPS is just terrible. The workers are lazy and have left my package at someone else's house because they didn't want to come down my driveway. I've had to get packages reshipped because they never came to my house. Also, they sent my package to the wrong office so then I had to wait a few extra days to get it. I'm sick of companies using UPS for their shipping. The customer service is also awful. There's always a problem through UPS.Add reply
HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- I am still waiting for a package to be delivered by UPS that was ordered 2 weeks before xmas and I paid for 2 day shipping! The UPS customer service employee I had to deal with was extremely rude to me and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for over an hour before I finally hung up the phone and called their corporate headquarters. I asked how I could file a formal complaint and was told I needed to know the employee name and ID number to do so, which of course, I did not have.
I will no longer order anything online that requires UPS to deliver. I have never had any issues with other delivery services and everything I ordered online (even the week before xmas) arrived before xmas, except this one package.
I sent a package weighing 10 pounds from Omaha Nebraska to Chicago. Inside was 2 light weight bike rims. The price to ship was $49. The box was not over sized.

I also had a fish filter weighing 20 pounds to ship. I used the same size box but went to the post office. It cost me $28 to ship to North Carolina...farther away then the first box. What a price difference~!!!
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- For an entire week delivery date for my product said. Dec 15th. Then the 15th came and passed. Now the UPS tracking just says "exception" and I can't get any more information from UPS. Apparently the product is lost and I have already paid for it. I now have to wait through an "investigation period" and who knows if I will ever get the product. Last time I will order anything online if my only option is UPS.Add reply
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA -- If you want something shipped overnight, do not use UPS!! I sent my passport for a Visa, to San Francisco and paid for guaranteed overnight shipping. I sent the packet on the 9th, but it did not reach till the 11th. When I spoke to someone at UPS customer service, I was told they attempted to deliver the packet at 8:47 am, but the office was closed! The business they were suppose to deliver it to did not open till 9:00 am. You would think they would have an idea that most businesses do not open till 9:00 am. When they have charged for guaranteed overnight delivery, it was their responsibility to make sure they found out when the business opened or attempt redelivery that same day! I am so upset and will never use UPS again!Add reply
FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA -- My cousin sent me 5 thousand dollars worth of items through UPS and I was waiting in front of my door since I am sure about the delivery time and nobody showed up at that time. To my surprise I have seen the status in the evening that item got delivered at my front door the same time when I was waiting.
Opened a investigation with UPS and after 7 days they closed the ticket without finding anything.
This is second bad experience with UPS. Previous year I have lost my Laptop.
Bad Company! Never Again!!!

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- It is holiday season. Our usual UPS guy is good, but I've just had a $350 value package stolen from my doorstep because Unusable Parcel Services just left it in full view on a lighted doorstep.

Since these guys a clearly unable to train temporary workers to be responsible I strongly advise avoiding or boycotting them during holiday seasons.
USPS is better than UPS. Fedex seems better, OnTrac not so much, but whatever you do, unless you want lots of hassle and time wasted trying to get things resolved, just forget UPS. If you go Brown, you will likely go down.
Good luck shippers.
FLUSHING, NEW YORK -- UPS had on their Web site at 9 A.M. that a package was "Out For Delivery, Delivery By End Of Day". Based on that info I stayed home to receive the package. At 1 P.M. I checked the status of the package again and found that the delivery time was changed to the next day. Customer service explained that the Out For Delivery post was based on the "EXPECTATION" that the package would arrive on time. There was a delay and therefore the delivery time was changed. UPS should not post delivery times until they have the package in hand. I lost a day based on their stated delivery date.1 Replies - Latest reply on 12/07/2013Add reply
A 8GB microSD memory card was not in box. The bundle included A 8" Folio case for Tablet with Stylus and one 8GB microSD memory card. The box was thrown open and the card MISSING (removed). The delivery person rang the doorbell and disappeared in the elevator or stairwell. I was unable to ask any questions. 1 Replies - Latest reply on 12/09/2013Add reply
PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- I placed an order for clothing with a prestigious name brand company and the package has been in transit for a week. According to UPS's tracking website, the package was arrived yesterday in the city and state mentioned. However, upon contacting UPS they informed that given that there was a holiday (Thanksgiving), they will not be delivering on Friday or Saturday. The delivery will be made on Monday. This will most likely cause me to miss the delivery.

Over the years, UPS has become substandard in their service and will not recommend or use going forward.
MUSKEGO, WISCONSIN -- UPS can not seem to deliver on time....they have been UNSUCCESSFUL delivering my packages ON TIME on more then one occasion. The date they promise on the website tracking and when I contacted the company directly was not the date they actually delivered the package. I talked to someone from UPS customer service twice, both assuring me that my package would be delivered on time. Of course the package was not delivered that day. Horrible customer service as well....unwilling to refund me a measly $13 for my shipping cost (considering they are the "#1 largest shipping company...I can't imagine $13 would break the bank). I guess we know why there the largest company...they scam people & don't stand by their product. I guess if your ripping millions of people off a year, you would be quite a prosperous company. POOR BUSINESS, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! If there is any option to order through FedEx or the direct postal service I would HIGHLY recommend that over UPS. Both other companies seem to have delivered my packages sooner then UPS.
I suggest everyone contact your senders prior to orders regarding what shipping company they use and request another if ups is their option. Obviously NEVER SHIP THROUGH UPS!
DORAVILLE, GEORGIA -- Tracking # indicated I would receive my delivery between 3&7pm on the 20th.. I called Customer Service three times and got three different answers about the delivery of my package. I was told by the first two Customer Service reps that the package would be deliver this evening, but because we are going into the holiday season that drivers were running behind, but I will get my package. Went back into UPS system to check my tracking number, and the delivery had been changed to the next day.
When I called UPS, the agent informed me that the drivers have to be in by 9pm and that my package was scanned back into the Doraville Service Center, and that it will be delivered the first thing in the morning as priority. This has not been a good experience dealing with UPS. They really need to re-evaluate the meaning of good customer service.
