RICHMOND, VIRGINIA -- US Airways is being unfair to customers that fly on there airline when they ask them to give up there seat to accommodate for mistakes they made in overbooking flights. Yes, it may say based on availability however, when the person is willing to drive 3 or 4 hours to take a flight from another airport in order to use the ticket you would think that the airlines would be willing to work with that person. Especially when the company they work for uses US Airways all of the time for company travel.

I think that I will make a suggestion to our travel department that we switch to another airline since so many of our employees are being inconvenienced by using this airlines.
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- I flew on a trip from Phoenix to Salt Lake City and when I got to SLC I waited for my baggage but it never showed up (at SLC International Airport). After 1 hour I went over to baggage claim and met a couple of other people who were trying to contact US Airways too but there wasn't a baggage claims rep at the desk. A bag claims rep from another airline started to assist us in paging the US Airways claims rep and suggested we contact the person in charge of checking in baggage. Nobody from US Airways was there to check in baggage either! I left SLC international at 11 PM but left a note that my baggage was missing at the claims desk.
When I arrived in Ogden there was a message from US Airways on my phone telling me that my bag arrived on an earlier flight and was right next to her desk where I left the note (I don't recall it being there when I left at 11 PM). Since the baggage wasn't lost I had to drive back to SLC (approx 40 miles) to pick up my baggage. I realize I should have looked more closely at the baggage in front of her desk but it would have helped if a baggage claims rep was there to tell me that my baggage may have arrived on an earlier flight and may be in front of the baggage claims desk. When I got home, some of the items in my bag were damaged.
That was the first and last time I will fly US Airways.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA -- On May 25th I flew from Chicago to Phoenix, then on to Vancouver, Canada. When my baggage came off the turnstile it was missing a wheel, the bottom corner crushed, and about a dozen tears all over.

When I took it to the US Air representitive, he pointed to a small notice on his desk: "Not responsible for damaged bags."
My bag looked like it was dragged from Chicago by the plane's wheels. It was three months old; I paid $200 for it and it is now junk.
It wouldn't be so bad except for the US Air person saying "Look at our notice... There's nothing we can do."
US Air is short for UnSAtIsfied customeR.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- A while back, March 4th to be exact, my flight to Ithaca, NY. was cancelled. I had to spend the night in NYC with someone who was sympathetic to my dilemma. I asked the person behind the counter about a refund and she practically laughed at me and assured me that one would not be issued. My anger was potent then and has grown since. I am a dividend miles member but i have avoided flying US Air since then. Those people have no problem taking my money for flights but when the service is not performed they locate loopholes to keep my money.

To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
REFUND my unused portion!
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
CHARLOTTE, SOUTH DAKOTA -- I woke up extremely tired from a flight and I was the last passenger to leave the plane, but I forgot my laptop on my seat. After half an hour when I realized I forgot it I returned to ask the crew at the gate if they know where my laptop is. They checked and it was gone. I went to the customer service which was near and they couldn't find it in any of the US Airways offices or the Lost&Found. I had to take off to another place and I called them, they told me they didn't have it. Other authorities in the Airport didn't have it (they quickly answer - no) and from that moment onward I felt completely helpless. I was nagging them for a while and they keep answering they couldn't find it until I was getting no answer.

Now why was I stubborn? I was the last person on the plane, so staff obviously have it. By the way, how is it, that an unattended item at the size of a laptop is taken care of so poorly? This is also an issue of security to be concerned about. In 2014, an American airport, how is that possible?
Last time I pick US Airways or American Airlines for sure.
