Bad Experience, Money Waste

HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA -- Made on-line reservation for 7 pax mini-van in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in October 2012 and received the voucher from VIP Cars with all correct information. When I got to the rental provider the reservation was for 5 pax full size car. "We don't care about the voucher issued by third parties" - the rental associate replied. Called VIP Cars - could only talk to answering machine. Result - paid for a min-van almost twice of what was quoted, plus $42 to VIP Cars. Despite numerous calls to VIP Cars no refunds were made, Be careful with this rental broker, don't be lured into their good looking deals.

I'd like to let the provider, which you did not name, off the hook here, but it isn't clear why they didn't honor the "voucher" that you had.

As a rule, I try to avoid brokers and third parties altogether to avoid headaches. The lure of a lower rate does not attract me at all.

I have used them once, had no problems at all It was basically WYSIWYG..(what you see is what you get) .. The price quote and the type of car, all as per the voucher.. Which car rental company had your booking and how could they so rudely debunk the voucher from their own business partner.. ?

Just saying, you'll only get best deals through brokers and never directly through companies. Ofcourse, we have to careful with all the aspects just like the one you mentioned.

Sorry to read you had problems.. our rental experience was unremarkable though..

Hello, was not at fault, however the supplier was. As mentioned, your refund has now been processed successfully by the supplier itself since they did admit the goof up!

The matter has been resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
