KINGMAN, ARIZONA -- I was forced to change my tires at a local Kingman Arizona Walmart and unknowingly was given an EXCLUSIVE Walmart issue tire manufactured by Goodyear called VIVA 2. Four months and only several hundred miles later, I had a flat on the sidewalls which actually melted. When I took the car to the nearest Pep Boys store the manager showed me where the rubber had melted on the inside.

He said the sidewalls had melted and the puncture was in a place which was leaking and could not be repaired. I took the tire as evidence and I encourage anyone has had this problem to email me and we might start a class action suit. Also, I bought them on my Walmart Discover card which states that you can contact them if you buy a defective item. I contacted them but I sense they will try to give me the runaround. So I put the transaction into dispute.

This is fraud from my viewpoint, and I strongly believe Walmart is very much aware of the problem. One of the CSR representatives commented that they have many problems with another tire called Douglas. Walmart paid 2 million dollars on a high profile case where people was severely injured in a crash with other Walmart tires.

I could easily have been killed or stranded in the high desert. This corrupt operation needs to be exposed as the smiley face is a cover for corrupt and fraudulent. Sam's Club offers a much better service. I didn't have the chance to get there. And now I know that Walmart and Sam's Club are joinedI may avoid them as well.

INVERNESS, FLORIDA -- I purchased 4 Goodyear Viva 2 tires. First they seemed like good tires. Then they started to bounce and vibrate. Going back to Walmart I was told that my rims were bending while I was driving and the tires were fine. I took my car to a local shop who told me that there was nothing wrong with my rims. Walmart just does not care about service, they want sales. They knew the tires were bad but did not want to help me. Do not go there.

TIFTON, GEORGIA -- In December 2007 I purchased a Viva 2 Goodyear tire from Walmart. On July 22, 2008 this tire failed. I went to Walmart and they said the bubble on the tire was from the belt but since I did not purchase the road hazard plan, I would have to pay full price for another tire. Goodyear wouldn't stand behind the product either and told me to contact Walmart. So you are caught between two major companies that will not take ownership for this product. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
