Dont go to work for FSMC DBA Wendy's
Posted by Mister_Meestah on 08/15/2005
WILMINGTON NC / CLEMSON SC, NORTH CAROLINA -- I have some inside information in regards as to how the managers of Wendy's Restaurants which are owned by the First Sun Management Corporation of Clemson, SC.

Recently, a new store was opened in Greenville, NC. This store is so understaffed that it's not funny. The District Managers for FSMC are mandating that managers from their Wilmington and Jacksonville NC stores drive to this new store in Greenville NC to work to help the new store out. Now, normally, this is not a cause for alarm. However, there are some interesting and upsetting facts to this mandate:

1) Managers are required to go there on their day off (Managers are salaried) and not receive any pay or other compensation for their (so called personal) time.

2) These managers are required to drive their personal vehicles to this new store in Greenville. The distance from the Wendy's at Porter's Neck Rd in Wilmington NC to this new store is well over 100 miles one-way.

3) These managers are required to provide their own gas for this trip. They have not been offered any type of reimbursement for the high cost of fuel these days. FYI Regular Unleaded gasoline is our area is a minimum of 2.50 per gallon at the moment and will most likely be much higher when these trips begin.

4) These managers have been threatened witht he loss of their jobs if they do not comply with the requests of their District Managers (Officed in Clemson SC).

I think it is rather interesting that FSMC makes themselves look like such a good place to work, and then they do the old "bait and switch" like this. Personally, I would flat out REFUSE to drive my personal vehicle that great of a distance when I was required to do so to keep my job and my bosses happy and not receive any type of reimbursement for the amount of gasoline it takes to travel that far, especially for only 3 hours of work per trip.

These managers have been told this is a one time trip. What's to say that this couldn't turn into a thing where these people would be having to drive to this new store once twice or more per week?

One of their new District Managers, a former General Manager (individual store manager) has been known to remove funds from her store's safe in order to fund personal purchases and other unauthorized expenditures. In the past one or two of the Assistant Managers at this particular store has been accused of misplacing funds since their daily deposits were coming up short. I see a red flag here.

One of their new General Managers (individual store manager) has been observed using extremely vulgar, foul, abusive and violent behvaior towards his employees. He has been heard cursing at them where every customer present in the store could hear every single word. He has been observed throwing chairs at his employees and making other obscene gestures or comments.

Is this the type of people you want running a restaurant where you are eating? I would not like to eat in this type of establishment. I would not want to give my money to a company that subjects their employees to this type of behavior.

Personally, I have refused to eat at any of the Wendy's in eastern North Carolina for these reasons. My employer treats me with respect and always offers to reimburse me if I have to use my personal vehicle for any business related travel. How a company that strives on quality can treat their hard working employees in this manner, is beyond me.

I imagine that Dave Thomas is rolling over in his grave over things like this. I am sure that when he started the Wendy's legacy, he never envisioned any of his employees being treat in this manner.

If you like long hours, low pay, continued lack of recognition for any of your efforts, and being lied to repeatedly, go to work for these people.

That's it for now.

fsmc is an acronym for food service management company and the situation you describe is not at all unusual
Posted by Mister_Meestah on 2005-08-16:
Thanks for your reply. In this case FSMC stand for First Sun Management Corporation. It is the name of the company that owns the franchise to a particular group of Wendy's Restaurants.

Too bad things are getting like this for hard working people.

Sorry to say...welcome to the world of being salaried. They can basically ask you to do whatever they please.

Tp, where did you get that info?
Posted by AZJEM on 2005-08-17:
If people really investigated the background of every place they shopped or ate at, I doubt there would not be too many places to go in the world. Get over what is going on the the company unless you have some personal stake in all this. As long as my meal is prepared correctly and in a clean place, why should I concern myself with the business part. I think most people have too much more going in in their life to worry about the Dave Thomas empire.

Though I am sure much of this is accurate. The knowledge you are putting in your post means one of two things...either you are hearing this second-hand from a former employee or you are a disgruntled former employee. Having worked for 30+ years in the restaurant industry in QSR you sound like someone who is just a whiner...don't like it move on.

Sounds like someone that used to work with FSMC, I have been with this company for awhile and noone has ever been forced to go to another store as this person states.
As managers we was ask if we wanted to and if we didn;t they didnt threaten us with the loss of our jobs.
and if we did have to travel and it was out of the way from our home store we was paid milage and as well motel and eating expenises was paid.
as always you get someone that gets PISSED off and they post stupid and incorrect things and even tell all kinds of people lies.

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Customers need to make up there mind of what they want. Ever since weve gotten the chicken strips, customers think there is 5 to 8 strips, no there are only 3 strips. Not getting your moneys worth when you oder chicken strips, even when its the combo. Plus, the chicken nuggets are only 5 to a carton, not 6 or 8. About the drive-thru, the timers are useless in my opinion, that is why the employees are looking at you waiting for you to move. The fast food industry never does pay much, so don't expect much service from any of the Wendy's. The new Wendy's that have the new music system, customers complain about it being too loud, and don't like the type of music that is being played, customers don't like loud rap music playing why'l eating their food. Stores with this type of music system will not get very many customers, day or night. And why do customers eat like pigs, by throwing food, paper, and other stuff on the floor. This is extra work that the employee had to do, when that person gets off at a set time.

Battle Creek Michigan - Wendy's
Posted by Webmaster_1 on 01/08/2004
BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN -- This review is for Beckley Rd store. Last Sunday at 2:10 PM I ordered 3 doubles, 2 fries and 2 chilis. I was told by this terse black teenager to immediately "pull to the rail" and wait (at the time there were no cars behind me). After 5 minutes cars started pulling up behind me, ordering, and proceeding to leave with their orders. After 15 minutes (and 20 cars later) I was still waiting. After 20 minutes I started beeping my horn (still nothing). After 25 minutes a poor shy girl with a red face came out with my order and said, "we had to wait for the meat to cook". No apology, no explaination. I felt bad for grumbling at her as it was clearly not her fault. There is no way on God's green earth that the 30 or so cars that passed me did NOT order at least one hamburger. Why didn't I talk to the manager? 1. I was mad as hell. 2. I don't make it a habit to seriously discuss business practices with teenagers. 3. I don't appreciate being bought-off by a pimply-faced kid who just wants to make me go away and not fix the problem. I say elevate the issue and let the resolution trickle down.

What difference does it make if the "terse teenager" was black, blue, limegreen, or periwinkle??? Jerk
Posted by Anonymous on 2004-01-09:
Your attitude towards this industry is typical. Funny how you decide to complain after the fact; once your hunger pains have gone away. Perhaps you should tackle issues like these head on instead of criticizing people you failed to deal with yourself. On second thought, maybe it's better that you did leave them alone. These teenagers have enough crap to put up with on a daily basis without having more negativity added to the stress.
Posted by Anonymous on 2004-01-09:
Laura has a good point. What difference does the teenagers skin color make. Maybe the reason you were so angry at having to wait is because it made you late for your Klu Klux Klan meting.
Posted by Anonymous on 2004-01-09:
It does make a difference when it personally identifies which individuals screwed up. I'll but the nay sayers here are pimply-faced teenage managers.

I agree with the OP 100%
Posted by Anonymous on 2004-01-13:
I agree that you got angry for waiting so long. I would to. But really is it worth it to get so mad that your veins explode over food(and food that is not good for you in the first place)? You should really have gone inside instead of watching people order the burgers that you were wating on.
Posted by Anonymous on 2004-01-21:
>>> I was told by this terse black teenager to immediately "pull to the rail" and wait (at the time there were no cars behind me).<<

As a disgruntled Wendy's employee I can tell you why they pull you even when no one is behind you. When you pull up to the speaker you start a timer, you can't see it but the crew can, The timer starts counting up in seconds and every car starts a time. At the end of certain times of the day these are averaged, if the average is to high(Usually 120 seconds) the manaager gets griped out by his boss. It's Wendy's nazi like way of improving "efficiency".
Posted by Rosco on 2004-07-23:
The people playing the race card are morons. Before you start assuming the writer is white and spouting crap like "because it made you late for your Klu Klux Klan meting", you might consider how offensive this would be if the writer was other than white.

Just an Informative Statement
Posted by Anonymous92817 on 07/20/2013
ARKANSAS -- I work at Wendy's and I've been reading several of these Wendy's reviews to compare my work experiences with customers and other employees. There are are several complaints. To start, I just want to say I don't intend for anything written in here to be derogatory or negative. Here are some things I want to inform the public about in not only Wendy's, but fast food in general.

1. We are not ALL lazy idiots. Personally, I am working 30 hours per week, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in nursing school. A coworker is finishing up graduate school with a 3.8 another is in engineering school, doing quite well. Another is doing well in her sophomore year, and another will soon start college to study biology. My manager has a bachelor's degree in management.

2. My specific Wendy's is quite strict. We are trained to make the customer our top priority. We are currently in a three week streak with zero complaints. Our last inspection? 96/100. I personally cleaned the dining room the night before, and not a single point was deducted from it. The four we missed were due to minor performance errors such as dumping the left fry basket into the right fry bin. We are also trained to go out of our way to satisfy a customer, which we do. You want fresh fries? No problem. You want a salad without a certain ingredient? No problem.

3. We're not perfect; everyone makes mistakes. We're on timers, which makes the job a little more stressful. When you're being rushed, it's easy to make mistakes, but we fix them. If we slowed down and did the job with meticulosity, it would no longer be fast food. Sometimes we will sell some product, so we cook more to replace it. Occasionally a massive amount will be ordered among several different customers, resulting in some waiting. Our apologies.

4. Here's some procedures I saw being questioned: Salads are prepped fresh every morning so if you got a rotten salad, someone isn't doing their job of throwing them out. Every ten minutes we have a timer that sounds, reminding us to stir chili and cheese, sanitize all stations, manager do a walk-around, and wash your hands if you're available to do so. Everything that is cooked is on a timer. Our chili has a certain recipe, so if your chili was below standards, someone didn't do their job. All food has a hold time. When the hold time expires, you're required to throw the product away.

5. Being nice and communicating clearly will help the accuracy of your order and your service. No matter how belligerent you are, we are required to "be nice," so please, help us out with a little respect. Don't get me wrong, some customers are great. At the drive thru, speak at a medium volume. We can't hear whispering, and yelling requires is turning down our head sets. If we repeat something, it's not because we're too stupid to get your order, it's because we are just checking to ensure that your order can be filled as accurately as possible.

6. Remember, this was informative, not derogatory, so please don't leave any derogatory comments. Also, I'm sorry to anyone who has had a bad experience at Wendy's, I thought all managers were required to train their crew properly like mine.

Nicely written informative review. Thanks.
Posted by trmn8r on 2013-07-20:
Interesting comments, but I won't be returning to Wendy's as a regular customer. That's what happens in retail when customers don't like their experiences. A lot of what you wrote describes what should happen. It is what does happen that the customer sees.

Nice review. I wish all fast food employees took pride in their work like you do. Unfortunately, there are some bad apples out there that give fast food employees a bad name. Customer service is not an easy job. I've been doing it for over 10 years. Keep up the good work an good luck with nursing school.

First paragraph: my phone was giving me issues. Instead of Gremembernother, it's supposed to say Another. Also how can I change the name to anonymous?
Posted by DebtorBasher on 2013-07-20:
I changed Gremembermother to another for you and I explained to Addy that you didn't want your name on the review. They changed it to anonymous92817 for you. Hope this helps. I think it's a very well written review and this Wendys is lucky to have a dedicated employee like you, working for them.

Anon, good luck with nursing school. Working fast food is actually good practice for it. A lot of the same drama, but the pay is a bit better, lol.

Rotten French Fries
Posted by Gagme on 01/25/2009
January 24th, 2009, had a great day at Mt Washington, BC. On our way home we stopped at Wendy's in Courtney, BC to grab a quick bite to eat to go, while we ventured home to Parksville. While eating my fries, I started to smell something like cow manure....thought it was something in the air, and asked my husband if he smelt it. He said "NO"?? I then removed my chewed up french fry from my mouth and did it ever reek!!! Rotten!!! I almost got sick and don't know how I didn't. It was not discolored or anything, just plain rotten.

I have never had something like this to happen to me and would never want it to happen to anyone else. Disgusting, is not the word for it!! Lets just say I will probably never eat at a Wendy's ever again!!

So to all you fast food junkies out there, Beware of Wendy's!!!

This happened to me today. I live in Wichita KS...ate at a Wendy's on Maize and 21st street. It was the first time I've ever tasted a rotten potato french fry. I actually spit it out and my husband took it up and asked them to smell it. He even agreed it smelled like cow manure. It was awful. I won't ever eat at Wendy's again either!

This happened to me at the Wendy's on Hacks Cross and Goodman Rd in Olive Branch, MS (Store #00009665). I ordered a value fry and after eating a couple, there was a strong odor that smelt like cow manure. The fries were rotten but there was no discoloration on them. It was disgusting and I will NEVER eat there again either!
Posted by MC on 2013-12-27:
I purchased a bag of My Essentials Crinkle Cut fries in a NC grocery store. I placed the fry in my mouth and it tasted like manure. I spit it out into a tissue and smelled it (smelling like manure). I immediately made my family stop eating any of the fries and contacted the company, whom I have to call back tomorrow. This is the worst smelling food I have ever encountered. Be cautious before purchasing. I can't understand how frozen fries smell like this and I am sure when they processed and bagged it, the staff had to smell it also. It made me sick to my stomach and I almost vomited. My mother also smelled some of her fries and they posed the same odor.

"Rich & Meaty" Chili
Posted by Kenr14 on 11/07/2007
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA -- Do they think we are morons? I've noticed the deterioration of Wendy's chili quality since Dave Thomas' death a few years ago. I've noticed this at many of their restaurants.

Today takes the cake! I ordered chili at the Freeport/I-5 Wendy's in Sacramento, California. "Rich & Meaty" was emblazoned all over the side of the container.

What the container had in it was 11 beans, 4-5 SMALL pieces of hamburger and a reddish brown liquid. It wouldn't even pass for Campbell's Chili SOUP.

I'm tired of companies that advertise like this ... in this case how hearty their chili is. It really USED to be. Not anymore.

Come on Wendy's, I want you to make a profit, but don't sell me trash like that, I'm ready to take my business elsewhere.

I haven't been to that Wendy's in about 12 years, even back then it wasn't all that great.
The Wendy's out here in Fair Oaks went out of business.

The only time that Wendy's tastes good to me is when I am STARVING! Like everything else servings and the quantity of meat has gotten smaller at most FF joints from the fish to the chili.
Posted by Starlord on 2007-11-07:
I had the same type of chili last time I ate at Wendy's. Not only was the chili similar to that described, it was well below what the Health Dept. requires hot food be held at. I agree, the only time I even consider eating at Wendy's is when I am extremely hungry and my sugar is crashing. I even consider Mickey Dee's, but still haven't gotten THAT hungry. A bunch of people went on about how creepy the king was in the Burger King commercials, but I find a bunch of people with a neon red Wendy's wig on to be much creepier.

I've had the same problem with Wendy's chili, very watered down. Sometimes, I don't have the time to make homemade chili, but, just tonight, I had Bush's Chili.

Very good. Chunky, and, not too spicy.

Posted by Anonymous on 2007-11-07:
Well...Take a look at the picture of chili if there are any. Take your food back to the counter and demand that your purchase look just as good as the picture. Do not take second best. Anything else is false advertizement.

Bad service and dirty restaurant
Posted by Sophie on 07/09/2006
ROBERTSDALE,, ALABAMA -- We ate at Wendy's on July 9, 2006. There were no other customers but we still had to wait for someone to take our order. No greeting, no smile, no thank you. But the worst was that every table was dirty, sticky and there was food and trash on the floor. Every garbage can was full. There was no "thank you for your comments" form to fill out. I went to Wendy's web site and there is no email address to send comments. Only a telephone number - not 1-800. I will write them and complain. I have never been so disgusted. I will not do business at this Wendy's again.

If the conditions of the facility were as nasty as you described I would have chosen elsewhere to eat. However to each their own but I think your doing the best thing by not going back.

Agreed. I would have left. Perhaps if I was very hungry they would have gotten my money once. But I wouldn't go back after that. Sad part is the owner is probably clueless to how the place is being run.

Place an emmediate call to the health Dept. via one of thier phones after you tell them you don't have money for the pay phone.

I used to work at a Wendy's and three of us as managers shared a certain shift. It could have been the particular manager of that shift tried to run on a small crew and you came in right after a lunch or dinner rush. It takes time to clean the food area and restock the food bins and get ready for the next meal time. I can't say that is what happened here but there are reasons and managers are the ones who staff or understaff so these employees can only do so much. Just one way of looking at the problem.
Posted by Hugh_Jorgen on 2006-07-10:
But was the chicken thoroughly cooked?

Alabama again! Most like prozac'ed out? It's a heartace seeing the term "wasted youth" played out today in our restaurants. I would contact Wendy's Home Office and complain out the "wated youth" 614-764-3100. "Big wheels keep on turning. Carry me home to see my kin. Singing songs about the Southland. I miss Alabamy once again. And I think its a sin, yes. Sweet home Alabama. Where the skies are so blue Sweet Home Alabama. Lord, I'm coming home to you"
Posted by Anonymous on 2006-07-10:
If it was that bad, then why did you stay there & eat?
Posted by Doc J on 2006-07-11:
People patronize dirty eateries because their need for immediate gratification overcomes their better judgement. "It stinks, but I want it NOW." Later when satiated, they develop "buy's remorse" and notice the filth.
Sorta like the old joke: "The food was horrible there, but at least they gave us big portions."
Posted by CrazyRedHead on 2006-07-11:
What happened when you brought this to the attention of the manager? You did tell a manager about it didn't you?? The manager is the best person to tell, calling corporate really won't get you anywhere.
Posted by Anonymous on 2006-07-11:
Rebuttal to CrazyRedHead: Oh yes it will! Debate this - the fact that the manager can't control his/her employees via a corporate complaint tells them the "buck stops here." It's a potent, vulgar solution for the consumer.

Those of you who have seen my comments on Wendy's know that I have not eaten at a Wendy's in about ten years. The reason for this was the Wendy's in Casa Grande, AZ. The place was filthy, and looked like the dining area had not been cleaned since George Washington broke his wooden dentures there. The chili started out okay, but the last several times I ate there, it was very thin, with few solids, and was lukewarm to boot. I finally decided to try the Wendy's here in Chehalis, WA. I ordered a large chili and a baked potato, and Crystal had a cheeseburger and a potato. OMG, what can I say but that the chili was almost as good as Crystal's? Full-bodied, hot and flavorful, and the potato was hot and fluffy, and Crystal said her food was delicious also. The restaurant was one of the cleanest I have ever been in, and the young lady at the cash register was very pleasant and helpful. We shall return, to quote General MacArthur.

Wendy's is my favorite hamburger joint. I love the Bacon Deluxe Single and their chicken nuggets. I have also eaten and enjoyed their Broccoli and Cheese potato and fries. The fries have greatly improved over the years.

Good review, Starlord, but chili almost as good as Crystal's (LOL, I get the point!)? A lot depends on the manager/owner of the local Wendy's and it sounds like you have a good one. Our local Wendy's does well, too, now that they've changed management and have gotten rid of some slacker employees.

Yay, Starlord! I'm so glad you finally tried them again. That sounds exactly like my Wendy's. The chili and baked potatoes are top notch. I don't eat the burgers, but the chicken is great, too. It's the only place I really feel comfortable eating because I know how clean they keep it from when my son worked there. And I have never encountered an employee that wasn't pleasant and friendly. Well, except my son. ;)

good review.

It's a great review! It proves that all locations cannot be judged by one store. As Alain said, it's all about management.

Very helpful!

When I was eating hamburger, I enjoyed a bowl of chili and french fries at Wendy's. Great review.

My local Wendy's is fantastic, but I have, on occassion, had a bad burger here or there at various Wendy's. Soooooo glad I did not judge the entire chain based on a bad burger or two. Wendy's is the best fast food, in my opinion.

i agree S_Hawking. my local wendy's is great. one of the best things i like is the frosty and chili.

Great review!

We had Weny's last night and I was not impressed. There is only 1 register at the older Wendy's in town. There were 2 people ahead of my mother-in-law & I. We waited 8 minutes for them to order & receive their food. Then my MIL ordered and waited for her food. Then it was my turn. We were there 20 minutes before receiving our food. When we got it home, the fries were extremely salty and my the patty in my Jr Hamburger was so tiny, all I tasted was bread and mustard!

With In-N-Out almost next door to our local Wendy's I seldom go to Wendy's. I do enjoy one of their Frosty's when it's hot out.

Glad you ended up with a nice Wendy's Starlord after 10 years.

The only problem I ever see to have with Wendys is their lukewarm fries. If I'm gonna eat fat, I'd like it fresh please!

I just had ta similar experience...
In the heart of NYC, at midday, after waiting in line, that is the last thing you want to hear...

While I could have opted to use my credit card, I was just sooooo disgusted with the posture, that I decided to take by business elsewhere.
Doubt I shall be returning in a hurry...

Still the Same
Posted by Venice09 on 07/21/2011
My daughter came home for a visit late last Friday night and, as usual, was hungry when she arrived. It was around midnight, and the only place open was Wendy's drive-thru. So off she went to get some late night snacks.

I had my usual chili and baked potato, and she had a bacon cheeseburger from the value menu. She also bought some nuggets for us to share.

I was a little worried about the chili because there have been reviews lately that the quality has gone downhill. Since I hadn't had it in a long time, I wondered if the chili from my Wendy's was still as good. When I opened the container, I was pleased to see that the chili was thick and meaty. After only one spoonful, I knew that nothing had changed. It was hot and delicious, and the same quality as always.

The potato was also hot and fresh, and the nuggets were extra crispy and tasted like they were just made. My daughter's burger looked extremely appetizing with two big slices of crispy bacon.

Even though it was midnight, all the food was freshly cooked and perfectly prepared. So I am pleased to report that Wendy's in my town is still the same, including the chili. Now, if I could just get them to make vegetarian chili, I'd have it made.

Almost every Saturday evening we get my Mother-in-law a chicken sandwich and coke at our local Wendys. It may not be 5 star fare, but she loves it. We had some problems with service a couple of years ago, but they changed management and now they're pretty efficient and error free. Good review, Venice! I'll have to get some of their chili next time we're down there.

Alain, I love Wendy's chicken, so I understand why your Mother-in-law wants a chicken sandwich. I prefer Wendy's to all other fast food. The food just seems more real to me. Sometimes when it's even too hot to grill, Wendy's comes in handy.

Very good review. At midnight, I kind of expect the food to be worse than if I ordered as noon. Glad to see they made quality food at that time of night.

Good review
Posted by Venice09 on 2011-07-21:
Steve, it's always that way at our Wendy's drive-thru late at night. The reason might be because it's the only place open and very busy. They are constantly making fresh food. I know because my son used to work there.

Nice review, good to hear positive comments around here.

I enjoy an occasional Wendy's but the location nearest my home is difficult to get in and out of due to traffic flow. I think they close shop at around 11:00 pm, 12:00 pm on weekends. The McDonalds right down the way is open 24/7 and the food is always fresh. None of those leftovers because it's nearing the closing hour and they seem to be always busy. I believe that's really the key to it all unless it's just a sorry location to begin with.

I have Wendy coupon for a free Baconator if you order drink and fries. Imma stop by at Wendys today!

That's some midnight snack there...LOL!
I always loved their baked potatoes.
Posted by Venice09 on 2011-07-21:
Hey, we don't fool around. We do some serious snacking when she comes home.

Man oh man I wish we had this store in my neck of the woods. I do miss a good Wendy's.

Excellent Review!

Our Wendy's happens to be exceptionally good. Our McDonald's is, too. No complaints.

Good review. I wish our Wendy's was like this too, but sadly it is not. Nice to hear that good ones still exist though!

I will only get the chicken sandwich at Wendy's. I used to enjoy their dollar menu, until it became the $1.50 and up menu.

Good review Venice, and glad your daughter and you enjoyed a freshly cooked meal at that time of night.

Posted by madconsumer on 2011-07-21:
i have never liked wendys food except their chili.
Posted by Venice09 on 2011-07-21:
Now that you mention it, yaya, my daughter said something about the dollar menu. I think it's called the value menu now because all the prices went up.

That's a fantastic review, Venice! As you know I am not a fan. However, that doesn't prevent me from appreciating a satisfied customer.

Nice job.

I'm a fan of MY Wendy's, but I have to say that I've been pleased with other locations, too. It's too bad yours isn't up to par. Maybe you should try it again to see if anything has changed. Sometimes it's just a matter of bad management.

Wendy's Suck
Posted by Quickster2 on 06/16/2011
NEWARK, DELAWARE -- I have been to Wendy's before and have had the same problem over and over
employees to slow getting your food cold food and the manager is no help at all I sat in the drive through and the drive through employee flirting with the customer in front of me took more then 8 minutes-so I blew my horn for the customer to move on and the manager acted like it was no big deal I explain to him I AM THE ONLY ONE IN LINE BECAUSE YOU GUYS TOOK SO LONG again no help from him. Needless to say the person behind me got out of line because it took so long. 8 minutes is a long time when there is only 1 person in front of you. and never did see money exchanged. I have seen employees friends come into this Wendy's and they give a lot of free food to there friends again manager turns his back this by all means is no way to run a business I seen this to many times will never go to Wendy's on 273 at university plaza in Delaware to slow and bad manners this is not a fast food its a slow food service they need to fire the manager and hire employee who want to earn a pay check.

If I own this Wendy's I would clean house Wendy's you suck Burger King and McDonald's is way better service the manager watches there employees and makes sure there doing there job and not giving free food to there friends and making sure the customer is satisfied.

Boy that's a pretty good description of the Wendy's around here as well. When I was a kid I loved Wendy's. Today not so much. Simply put as you state Wendy's suck.

Great Review!

I must be pretty lucky. The Wendy's near my office is very organized and efficient. I never have to spend long on line, nor have they ever gotten an order incorrect. I need to let the manager know about the excellent service provided.

Wendys was great when dave thomas was alive. The frosty's were heaven, now it seems like slush where i have gone or they are out completely or their machine is broken. The meat, not so much now...its all bun....after he died, well i think it sold out big time...not as good.
