Extended Warranty Contractor

WINTER PARK, FLORIDA -- I paid for extended service. Fields is the contractor. 2 visits and still no accurate diagnosis. Waste of everyone's time. And costly for all parties. Is there an alternative contractor ? Why is there only an assigned contractor? Wonder how they get paid? How can we hold accountable? My business would go under if we treated customers like this... Pitiful that we accept poor service. Maybe that is why Apple and Amazon are Trillion Dollar companies-- they have a passion and pay attention to details for excellent customer service.

VANCOUVER -- Horrible service, called them twice, both of the times I spoke with very rude people that don't know anything about their job.

Terrible Manufacturer Warranty Service

INLAND EMPIRE, CALIFORNIA -- The Whirlpool manufacturer warranty is terrible! We called on 3/22/18, received no callback until we called over a week later. Then it took another week to get referred to "Product Replacement," which won't be shipping our replacement until 4/16. Again - I had to call to find this out. Then another 10-14 days! We just bought the microwave in November. It will be well over a month before we get the replacement under warranty. The people working there seem resigned to providing poor service and having to apologize all the time.

Lack of Quality Products

We built our home and bought all Whirlpool appliances, thinking that quality was better than others. Seriously mistaken. To date have had almost every one of the products serviced at least once if not more! Whirlpool does not care. I have had one person call me and the return call for after one of the products was serviced never occurred. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product when I have to replace the ones I have. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty from Lowe's when we purchased the products. RUN away from Whirlpool! Far far away!

Extended Warranty Is Worthless

DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA -- I purchased the extended warranty on a Whirlpool refrigerator. After 2 years of trouble-free service, I now have a small problem. I have called the phone # listed 9 times and have been on hold for a total of 4 hours... and have yet to speak to a human. This phone # is the ONLY way to contact them and they refuse to answer! A product is only as good as their service and Whirlpool's service is non-existent...

DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL

SPRING HILL, FLORIDA -- Purchased Whirlpool refrigerator 6 months ago, and the handles which were not even, was corrected only by the doors now being uneven. Also, constant water drips off of waterline on door regardless of being used or not. Just recently refrigerator started a piercing, ear ringing annoying sound when running. What happened to quality control in the U.S.A?

Piece of Junk

CHEVY CHASE, MARYLAND -- I would happily dump the pieces of junk Whirlpool duet system. Paid 1500.00 for a new set recently. Dryer only works on one cycle and washer does not work at all. Plus the damn company does not service their own product. They sub out the work to whoever bids the lowest. So the service gets even "better".

ALABAMA -- Whirlpool knows the washer is defective but refuses to fix or recall. So I will start mailing the CEO my shredded clothing with an invoice to replace what their defective machine shredded.

Poor Customer Service When Something Goes Wrong

COLORADO -- I purchased a trash compactor online. It arrived with a door that does not open. Whirlpool does not have a servicer in our area so therefore it is out of pocket for us to fix. What? We purchased a new appliance that does not work and you are sticking us with the cost to fix? WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE! Bad service! They don't stand behind their products.

Faulty double ovens and backordered parts
By -

Our Whirlpool Gold double oven failed on 11/2/10, so we called Whirlpool to find out the replacement part needed. They gave us the part # for the front control panel, and we ordered and received it, but it didn't fix the oven. We were then told we needed to also replace the control board, so we ordered this on 11/15/10. When we didn't receive it within a week, we checked and found out it was back ordered, ETA 12/15/10.

It is now 12/16/10 and the part still hasn't shipped, so we contacted the vendor and were told that Whirlpool now says that the part won't be available until February 2011! We have not been able to cook anything in our oven for a month and a half already, have missed being able to cook Thanksgiving dinner, and now we will also miss the entire Christmas cooking season and into the new year. A 4 month wait for a part is completely unacceptable.

On top of this, we have read about numerous other people having problems with this oven, and in particular it can fail after running a self-cleaning cycle due to a defect that causes the control board to overheat. We had this oven installed by our builder in 2005, and our neighbors have had the exact same failure with their Whirlpool double oven, installed at the same time.

I'm sure the reason this part is back ordered is because of the large number of failures of this part, due to its defect. Whirlpool is NOT willing to help, and they don't seem to care that people are doing without an oven for months! This will be the LAST product I buy from Whirlpool and their associated companies (we had a JennAir double oven at our last house that had the SAME failure at 5 years).
