EL MONTE, CALIFORNIA -- I ordered 8- 500 bags of royal blue rose petals. I received 8- 500 bags of navy blue. When I contacted their online chat regarding receiving the wrong item, the following took place:

Chat Informatio nYou are now chatting with 'Sabrina'
Sabrina: Thank you for contacting customer support. How may I help you today?
Elaina Sanders: I received my rose petals, but they don't seem to be royal blue. They are dark like navy. They are too dark for royal blue.
Elaina Sanders: I really needed royal blue rose petals.
Sabrina: I am so sorry but that is the shade we have .
Sabrina: if you want can return them for refund or exchange
Elaina Sanders: They color says royal blue, but I think I was sent the wrong color. Anyway, I notice that there is no slip in the box.
Elaina Sanders: Shouldn't I have received a shipping slip or receipt or something?
Sabrina: 'Yes it should be there .
Sabrina: in side the box
Sabrina: however you have already received one in your email
Sabrina: as soon as you have placed order with us
Sabrina: please check
Elaina Sanders: Nope, just bags of rose petals. OK, I did receive the email. So how do I exchange these?
Sabrina: Return for exchange
Sabrina: please click on the above link for exchange details
Elaina Sanders: I won't be charge more shipping right? Because this is not really royal blue, but navy.
Sabrina: Yes for return you need to pay for shipping , & for new order also you need to pay for
Sabrina: items are exactly as ordered & as posted online
Elaina Sanders: OK. I will keep them, but I will not be ordering anything else from you. Nor will you be receiving any good or favorable reviews on any of the sites. These petals ARE NOT royal blue, but navy. They are truly TOO DARK for royal blue.
Chat InformationYour chat transcript will be sent to Essanders58@aol.com at the end of your chat.
Sabrina: I am sorry about this, last 6 years we are selling the same items without any problem
Sabrina: I am sorry that you did not liked the items
Sabrina: really very sorry about this .
Elaina Sanders: If you were truly sorry, you would correct your error without charging the customer for an order that was not right on your part.
Sabrina: I am so sorry, sure I would have done so if there is any error in our end
Sabrina: but there is not
Sabrina: thank you
Elaina Sanders: Obviously, I didn't do enough research on your company. I'm sorry too.
Elaina Sanders: Goodbye
Sabrina: bye bye

What were you using them for (wedding reception maybe) ? They look really nice, and actually look like royal blue in your photo.

Anonymous on 2010-02-17:
I looked at their website and the blue they have pictured is lighter than the one you have posted. They only advertise one type of blue, that being royal and it is not the same as you pictured. You probably did the right thing by just using them and saving cost on the shipping and not using their service again.
Anonymous on 2010-02-17:
Colors look a bit different on different monitors simply because of the settings. Always keep this in mind when ordering based on a picture. The website shipped you the product they have advertised. Unfortunately, the color was not what you wanted when viewed in 'real time light'.
Anonymous on 2010-02-17:
take a look at their website and what they have as royal blue and take a look at what the OP posted for a picture. They are in no way close. It is not light or monitors. It is a different color than what is adverstised.

In fact...here is the link....

It does sound like Sabrina was being truly apologetic. The color in the photo looks slightly darker than royal blue, but definitely not navy. It might be a little darker than you wanted, but it's really beautiful. If you are otherwise satisfied with the petals, I wouldn't worry about the color being a little too dark.
Venice09 on 2010-02-17:
Wait, is this picture from the website or a picture of what you received? The picture here looks identical to the one on the website except for the color. I'm confused.
Anonymous on 2010-02-17:
OK...google navy blue and royal blue in the images. The colors BOTH go from a light to a darker shade, still within the same shades. The picture you posted AND the picture on the website are colors that are shown in the royal spectrum. Again, your idea of royal may be somewhat different than what they advertise. If that is the only shade they have in blue, then it stands to reason that it could be a lighting or photo issue.

You were offered an exchange or refund. I don't understand what more you could want seeing as you were shipped exactly what you ordered.
andbran on 2010-02-18:
I have seen navy blue and that is not it. navy blue is way darker. and they did offer an exchange or refund.
Buddy01 on 2010-02-18:
You didn't mention the bait and switch part.
Starlord on 2010-02-18:
Again, someone who does not know what 'bait and switch' means, but they definitely got it. Sorry, but I just can't get all bent out of shape like you. Believe me, if I had the money, I would buy the petals from you, I would be able to use them at some point.
Anonymous on 2010-02-18:
I think color is all in the eye of the beholder. What may look like royal blue to one person, might look navy to someone else.
The picture posted does look royal blue... as navy is more toward the "black" spectrum (in my opinion). I have navy socks that I have to hold up to my black socks just to see the difference when I'm looking at them under the lighting of my bathroom. It's only when I get under fluorescent light, do they look navy.
Yeah, I'm missing the bait and switch part here as well.
Ytropious on 2010-02-18:
I agree with everyone. I always argue about navy blue and purple with people. For me when I think royal blue I think a brighter, mid range blue, even if that is incorrect. Navy is a dark, almost purplish blue to me. Again, it may be completely wrong in industry terms. Why are you fussing about the difference between two similar colors anyway?
mickee58 on 2010-02-19:
Moved From Other Review: OK, maybe I used the wrong terminology with "bait and switch". But if you'll look at the picture I took with two different royal blue ribbons and the "royal blue" silk flower petals, well you be the judge. And as far as what do I have to complain about, offering me a chance to exchange, or refund, doesn't help when 1)you have a wedding in a couple of weeks, 2) are trying to match up colors, and 3)would have to pay for additional shipping.
madconsumer on 2010-02-19:
they look royal blue to me.
Venice09 on 2010-02-19:
I'm still confused. Where are the royal blue ribbons? The picture here is from YaYa's website and not a picture of what you received? Is that correct?

The color in the picture you posted is a bit darker than the color on the website, but it's not navy blue.

Don't drive yourself crazy over this. Trust me, no one is going to notice if the color is not an exact match.
Anonymous on 2010-02-19:
The picture here is what she receieved. The picture in the link I posted is from the website. Clearly not the same color. I will agree that what she received is not navy blue but it certainly isn't the color pictured on their website either.
Venice09 on 2010-02-19:
But Judge, the picture she posted here is exactly the same as the one on the website except for the difference in color. I don't think the petals in the picture are the ones she received otherwise the picture wouldn't look just like the one on the website. It would be different.

I don't know, maybe I'm misunderstanding this whole picture thing.
Anonymous on 2010-02-19:
Hi Lost, the pictures are slightly different. The votive candle holders are frosted in this picture and clear in the picture on the website. Maybe the web picture was previously posted and it hasn't refreshed on your browswer yet.
Venice09 on 2010-02-19:
Yes, it's been brought to my attention that the pictures are indeed different. I see it now. However, the candles in the picture posted here are the same as some of the ones used on the website. It just seems odd to me.

Anyway, I really shouldn't be telling the OP not to let this drive her crazy when I'm letting it drive me crazy!.. haha

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

EL MONTE, CALIFORNIA -- The fraudulent business practices of Ya YA Creations ranks them among the scum of the internet. It was my experience this last July 18th, to lend a helping hand to my older sister, with a wedding thrown for her daughter and my niece. I arrived a day before the wedding to help with preparations for the reception. What I found was a mad and unnecessary dash to beat the clock, as my sister had to make a last minute purchase of 25 replacement table clothes which would need ironing… all a result of Ya YA Creations’ failure to ship what they promised. Now mistakes are made, it is not uncommon to order one thing and receive something entirely different, quite by accident. However, this was not a case of mistaken order identity. My sister ordered a single tablecloth in March of this year so that she could examine its quality. Because that tablecloth was in new and acceptable condition, she put in the full order. What she received appeared to be 25 used table clothes, nearly all of them stained by something appearing to be grease and possibly rust based. It was unclear as to whether the stains were the result of prior use or a problem in manufacturing and/or packaging. Ya Ya Creations’ mistake in shipment, lousy customer service and dishonest response was absolutely appalling. Adding to the frustration was the need to iron the replacement table clothes purchased, last minute, at various Walmart stores. I personally ironed many of the replacement tablecloths until after three in the morning on the day of the wedding. Ultimately, at issue here is the despicable response of Ya YA Creations in their attempt to paint themselves as the victim in this case. Frankly it makes me sick, because they know how maliciously dishonest they are being, yet they have attempted to get away with it. After lodging her initial complaint with Ya Ya Creations, my sister was told that they felt she had used them, but if she was to return them, she would be reimbursed for their cost. The fact is, of course, that she did not use them, but returned them in the same condition they arrived in. When Ya YA Creations received the merchandise back, they then refused to reimburse her, claiming that she had used them. This is all very interesting, because at this point they had possession of the tablecloths rendering her unable to prove to anyone their condition. So she is now out the cost of the tablecloths, $227.20 and the shipping cost of $40. Ya Ya Creations’ bogus claim can not be proven, and there are several witnesses that can and are attesting to the condition of the merchandise when it arrived. The BBB now has an open case with this horrible excuse for a company, and many of us will be lodging separate complaints on appropriate web pages like this one. Interestingly, there already exists on various sites, enough ammunition to alert the public, but we can not help but add fuel to the fire that will hopefully keep the consumer away from Ya Ya altogether. This kind of consumer abuse has risen to new heights with the advent of the internet. Precedent needs to be established, because thievery via the internet highway is no less robbery than thievery on our streets.

Did you notify ANYONE of the condition of the product BEFORE the wedding and submit photo proof?
mamaskunk on 2010-09-18:
Would not have helped to summit a photo. I was told to send a photo of my problem napkins I received and then was told" item look fine, no refund or reprint"! "you not like, order somewhere else"! Heed the advice of this consumer and the original reviewer.

I just received my order of 10 table clothes, 70 chair covers, table toppers, chair sashes, and ribbon. Everything came in perfect condition and was here super fast. I hope other people have the same experience as I was able to have.
Shirl on 2012-08-10:
I wish I had taken the time to contact the BBB before I gave them my order. The order was never sent, They didn't ask UPS to pick it up for delivery to me. They got their money and never sent the tablecloths. I am thinking of filing credit card fraud charges.
I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
