Air France Complaint - Stole My New Laptop And They Don't Care

ON 02/05/2011 from RIYADH TO LONDON VIA PARIS, MY LAPTOP WAS STOLEN FROM MY LOCKED BAG??

I sent to them post provide every things on 07/05/2011. Today is 10/06/2011 NO RESPONSE!

DON'T travel with AIR FRANCE IT'S WORST AIRLINE I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

+10 mad, bad as that is. I carry on my laptop case with scripts and valuables in it. Only thing in my luggage is dirty laundry.

I'm sorry about what happened to you, but I NEVER check a computer, camera, etc. The main reason is bags can get lost way too easily. Next comes damage in handling, and then there is theft. Too many risks.

You haven't received a response, but have you tried calling for a status on your claim?

CofC's (contract of carriage) specifically spells out you are not covered for electronics. Thieves are everywhere. Sadly you need to safeguard computers by keeping them with you not because of their replacement value (they are dirt cheap) but your information and what can be done with it - computers are much akin to leaving your wallet laying around - most times the cash is the least valuable
