Popeye's Chicken Complaint - Never Going Back - Customer Service

Review by jsbailey576 on 2011-06-15
On 6/08/2011 we visited the Popeye's Chicken in Keller, TX. We placed our order in the drive through and was asked to pull forward because they had to cook our order of Wicked Chicken. She said it would be 3 minutes. We pulled forward and waited for 12 minutes. They finally cam out with our order. I asked the manager why it took 12 minutes for what were told would take 3 minutes. Her response was "We had to cook your other order (chicken breast dinner) because they had given the last breast to a customer that came through the dive through after us". I said isn't it customary to serve the people that had paid first. She said "I am sorry but that is what happened". I asked if that is all she had to say and she said yes. I then told her that I would be contacting her corporate office. She said "That is fine, do what you have to do". I called Popeye's when I got home. I spoke to a customer service representative that took all the info. She told me that someone would be contacting me within 48 hours. It is now 6/15/2011. I still have not heard from anyone from Popeye's. I guess this shows the company's concern about their patrons (former now). We will never go back because of their lack of concern.

Although it appears the employee answered your questions honestly and in reasoned tone I too share your outrage that the corporate offices didn't send you any chicken coupons. What a bunch of lame chicken azz monkeys.

I got my fingers crossed for ya on this one. Hang in there. It'll be alright.

I can't believe I'm even responding to this one - - Did it ever occur to you that they gave the chicken breast that was already cooked to a customer after you and cooked you a fresh one so that all the food you ordered would be prepared at the same time?

Great review... Very helpful. I'll keep my fingers crossed as well. +1

It sounds like the manager was honest with you. They were doing the best they could to fill orders, and a mixup occurred where an item needed to fill your order was given to the next customer.

You reported the incident, and perhaps based on the details they felt further contact with you wasn't necessary. It is your decision not to go back - I had a similar case where I gave a detailed report to franchise management on a TGIF's - they never called back, and I never went back.

I don't get why you asked if that's all that they had to say. What more were you expecting? It seems like they made a mistake, then they said they were sorry, and they told you the truth about what happened. What else were you expecting them to say?

I was thinking what Sophia already said. Although you had to wait a longer time, sometimes its better to have the fresh stuff anyway.

I think they were doing you a favor by making a fresh batch of chicken.

Personally I would of waited for the new batch being patient is a virtue.

Exactly, Sophia! That's the first thing that came to mind.
