Lube Stop Complaint - Arrogant, Pushy, Ignorant Manager At Lube Stop

MAYFIELD HGTS., OHIO -- Recently I had the displeasure of accompaning a friend of mine, While she had her oil changed at the Lube Stop at 6119 Mayfield Rd. Mayfield Hgts, Oh. While we were there we had the misfortune to meet the Manager "John Ziner", Who greeted us very roughly as if he was mad to see us! He rushed my friend into giving him her infromation, IE. Name, Adress, Milage, Ect. He then told her that her Side Marker Light Bulb was burrned out And that he could repace it. When my Friend declined He stated very roughly and sarcasticly :" Its a $80.00 ticket, if you get stoped by a cop, and " Well its your car not mine, "If you can afford an $80.00 ticket Good Luck, I know I cant! He then Said he had to check her cabin filter and that if she didn't replace it, That she would be smelling a foul oder in her car! hen she said she only wanted an oil change He became very aggitated and loud and tried to rush us through the service! He began shouting out orders to the other workers vert rudely, and seemed to start focusing his anger off on them! The other workers were very Kind and wanted to Serve us, But Mr. Ziner Yelled at them To Hurry up! I even heard him tell one, That He wanted to get us out of here as fast ass possible! I think this kind Of behavior by a So called Manager, especialy, by one who has contact with a large number of customers on a regular bassis is un called for!!!!! Mr. Ziner needs to clean up his rude nature to his customers And to his employees!!!! And Lube Stop needs to get Rid Of An Abbussive Mouthed Idiot like Mr. Ziner !!!!!! My friend said She has no intension of going back to Lube Stop And Has Since Told All Of Her Friends, Family, And Co- Workers Not to Go to Lube Stop!!!!! An I Wont Be Going there Either!!!!! and I Just bought a New Car, Witch Ill service elsewhere!!!!! I just feel sorry for those other workers who were so kind to us! I feel sorry that they have such a Rude, Ignorant Manager !!!!!! T. Leanza.

I doubt it very much if a police department will write a ticket over a side marker light...even if it's in an eastern suburb whose police departments tend to ticket aggressively. I think it was more high pressure sell than anything, since light bulbs have high markup. You can easily change a side marker light yourself, although you have to undo the nuts on the inside on some vehicles. The bulbs themselves sell for no more than $4-$5 a pair at an auto parts store. As for Lube Stop, I switched to Valvoline Instant Oil Change last year because Lube Stop stopped carrying brand-name motor oils. For years they usually used Mobil or Exxon bulk oil; last time, the brand name was Lyden, which is a local oil and gasoline distributor. Also, I needed to have my cooling system flushed...Lube Stop only carries "global" universal coolant, not Dex-Cool. In order to use a "global" coolant, the Dex-Cool would need to be completely flushed out. Valvoline uses Dex-Cool. While I like to support Cleveland-based companies, if they use off-brand products to service my car, I don't feel at ease. At least the oil used at Valvoline is Valvoline.
