Gateway Complaint - Ripped off!

Complaint
Review by norton509 on 2011-06-15
A few years ago I custom ordered my computer from Gateway. I spent a bunch of time explaining my needs as a photographer. the quad processors were just coming out and there wasn't much in the way of 64 bit programs but since I was stepping up I wanted the capacity when the programs were available. I didn't pay much attention to what system I had when I got it but later noticed it shipped with 32 bit Vista. I didn't worry because I was planning up upgrade to Windows7. Last summer I bought Windows 7 and called Gateway (I paid extra for the 3 year warranty and phone assistance. When I asked how to upgrade to 64 bit windows they told me doing that would void the warranty and could actually harm the computer. I have become Apple's biggest supporter. and don't miss a chance to bash Gateway. Buy a Dell, buy an HP, buy anything but Gateway. Digital Images are getting larger Adobe CS5 and Lightroom are calling for more memory and I have a boat anchor.

I have Adobe CS5 and it runs fast on my 4GB RAM, dual core system.

"I didn't pay much attention" and there lies the most probable cause of complaints
