Sears Complaint - What customer Service?
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- I bought a new refiegerator in April 2005.
I needed it serviced because of a leak. I called and went on-line to try to see if there was something minimal that I could do to correct the problem. Of course Sears said that a service visit was necessary and would cost $65.00. I followed up and chatted with 'help' on-line.
The technician was more interested in what payment plan I wanted instead of answering my questions.
My options were pay for the repair plus $286.00 for a 1 year warranty or $65.00 plus labor for just a diagnosis.
When I said I would make the decision after I found out what the problem was I was told I had to make the decision and pay for it now.
I couldn't deal with a company who has lost their mind so I thanked the gentleman, asked him to cancel the appointment and said I would report the poor practices to the BBB
