Southwest Kia Dallas Complaint - Stay away from Southwest Kia in Dallas
DALLAS, TEXAS -- Never use Southwest Kia in the Dallas area.
First, my new purchase was to be ready for pick up at 12:00 noon. At 6:00 P.M. they actually started working on it which consisted of changing a set of wheels out.
Second, I live 2 hours from this dealership, when in the finance office being offered all the service options, I was told that I could buy this maintenance program that covered all my regular maintenance including oil changes. I told the finance manager that I lived 2 hrs away and would not be using that dealership for maintenance. He told me that I could use the program at all Kia dealerships. WRONG. LIE number 2.
Third, I decided to cancel the program which I had 60 days to do. I had to drive 2 hrs to sign a piece of paper that took about 2 seconds because they refused to fax it to me. I was told by the finance manager (a different finance guy then the first) that the paperwork would be filed the following Monday. I waited until the following Wednesday and called him to be sure he filed it. He told me he did. Well, it is 6 weeks later and I just found out it was never filed. LIE #3.
Fourth, when we got the car home after the 2 hour drive, the had taken the antenna out of the glove box to install and never installed it so we had to get it mailed to us and install ourselves.
Fifth, I never received my tags. I had been told they would be mailed to me. I phoned to see where they were and I was told I had to fax a copy of my drivers license to them so they could mail them out to me. I faxed the DL and also added to please mail them to my address which a wrote out, the same address as on my DL. I still did not receive my tags. When we called they said they had mailed them out the day they received the fax. Two weeks later, still no tags. When we called again, we were told they had mailed them to the wrong town, a town not even close to where I live, and that we would have to go to the DMV to get new tags.
Six, when Kia called about my experience with their dealership, I told the truth. I had an excellent sales person but everyone else needed to be replaced and gave them examples of everything that had happened. Two days later, the sales person began calling me to ask me to write a letter clarifying my complaints so he wouldn't get dinged on his performance. Hey, I have my own job to be doing. He called me 4 times including my place of employment to request this.
I don't know how this dealership has gotten so big. I understand a mistake here and there but come on. I also didn't mention that NEVER when I have called and been told I would be called back have I EVER received that call.
My advise, SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE. These people should not be in business.
