Slumberland Inc Complaint - Upset about delivery

CEDAR RAPIDS -- When I purchased a headboard and chest of drawers from Slumberland in Cedar Rapids, Iowa I had explained to the salesperson that I was only available to accept deliver on a fri afternoon. I was told no problem they delivery company would call me and set up a time. The delivery company never called until fri morning when I was not available to be home to accept delivery. I told them I would be available to accept delivery Fri afternoon. The delivery person said he would have someone call me, again no one called, so I called the store asking about my delivery. I was told they would check on it, later they called back and I got no delivery. I cancelled the order because I would not be home then until a month later to accept delivery.
I complained to cooperate office regarding this delivery problem and later did receive a phone call from someone Slumberland furniture in Cedar Rapids. I explained the miscommunication regarding delivery time and this person was argumentative, rude and pretty much told me he didn't believe I was told this. I repeatedly asked him if there was a way to resolve this and he continued to argue with me how I was not told a delivery time. This person continued to berate me as I continued to explain what I was told and what had transpired. I was offered no apology for the miscommunication. A simple apology would of been appreciated and possible Slumberland would of continued to receive my business.
I am not from Cedar Rapids and this was my first experience with a furniture store here, but not my first experience with Slumberland. Most Slumberland stores are excellent.........this one is not.
