Magic Jack offers service for $19.95 according to their ads. My guess is that the low price is possible because they have minimal customer service, among other things. You probably want to talk to your credit card company to get their advice on how to eliminate the companies access to your card and challenge any fees they may have charged you after you notified Magic Jack about the theft. I agree with your last statement, by the way, I would never use this product.

I would not want to do business with a phone company that does not want you calling them... Pretty ironic if you ask me.

Having your device stolen might not mean you can walk away from a contract, though. I wonder if that is causing a problem...

I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MAGIC JACK PLUS BUT I AM A GEEK. WITH CREDIT CARD BILLING. I HAVE FOUND THAT EVERYONE THINKS I HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION TO THEIR SERVICES. AS A MATTER OF ROUTING I CALL MY THREE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES AND REPORT MY CREDIT CARDS LOST. THEY ISSUE NEW CARDS, NEW NUMBERS AND NO MORE AUTOMATIC CHARGING. AND IN YOUR CASES TRACFONE AND/OR MAGIC JACK PLUS NO LONGER CAN CHARGE YOU UNLESS YOU GIVE THEM YOUR NEW CREDIT CARD NUMBER. I LOVE IT WHEN THESE THIEVES BEG ME FOR MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER
