Dounkin donuts Complaint - Dunkin Donuts Frozen Hot Chocolate is Horrible

Review by gayleheiring1 on 2011-06-19
We went to Dunkin Donuts in Waucanda, IL to get a frozen hot chocolate. The drink is beyond gross and it is nothing like what is shown on TV. They put in chocolate syrup and mixed it with a watery/icy mix from a machine. We each took two tastes and threw them away. We love frozen hot chocolate, make it at home and have had it at other places. Dunkin Donuts needs to taste test this mess of an offering. Also, on TV they show whipped cream on top and that wasn't offered. It wouldn't have saved this horrible drink but at least the picture of the product would have looked like what we saw. We wasted $7.25 and will never go back. Stay home and make your own.

Isn't frozen hot chocolate basically the same thing as a milkshake?

Frozen hot chocolate does not sound appetizing to me, not the way you describe they make it.

This review should be very helpful to others who may be tempted to follow in your footsteps - thanks for stopping by to leave it.

Kind of defeats the purpose of having hot chocolate if its frozen.

It is oxymoronic but it is the rage right now.

When I saw the ad for this, I thought it looked interesting. After reading this review, I'm not so sure I want to try it. It sounds like an overpriced chocolate snow cone!

They misrepresented the frozen beverages in their marketing.
I am sure you were expecting to have hot cocoa, milk, and ice to be blended to make it. But you you got was a slushy to say the least.

They are COOLATTAS. They are all made with syrup specific to the size.
The employees should ask if you want whipped cream on this particular one, because it was advertised with it. But, it never hurts for you, the consumer, to say these things.

I cannot say how many times I have had to explain what the frozen drinks are. They messed up big time by advertising them as frozen drinks and not as coolattas.
