Villa Plumbing Complaint - Not comfortable with conclusion of plumber

Review by jackie.natali4 on 2011-06-20
I called for service because my bathroom sink wouldn't drain. The plumber removed the stainless steel pipes from underneath the sink and replaced them with PVC. Then, he concluded that the sink was cracked and I needed a new one for $450.

I didn't feel comfortable with this so I called a local plumbing contractor at my own expense for a second opinion. He said there was no crack in the sink and therefore, did not believe it needed replacement at this time.

Before I called for a second opinion, I did contact AHS with my concern. I feel that I should have been offered a second opinion at that time, but wasn't offered any alternative to the first plumber's conclusion.
