Fast Lane Oil Change Complaint - Worst Service Ever
TIGARD, OREGON -- I was being responsible and getting my oil changed before heading out of town. I had gone to Fast Lane before and was pleased, so I didn’t think twice. After a basic oil change, I drive 5 miles down the road and my car started making these loud rackety noises and jolting. The oil engine light immediately comes on and I look at my manual and it tells me to pull over. Thankfully, a Les Schwab is nearby. One of the workers walks over and notices that my oil is leaking under my hood. I call Fast Lane and the first employee I was quite rude and told me to ask Les Schwab to look at it and fix it. No, Les Schwab would not fix the oil company’s mistake! I ask to talk to the acting manager and he decides to come out with more oil. Twenty minutes later, he and another worker come and the manager person has his other guy look in my hood and under my hood. They say it was not their fault but should drive it back to the oil place. I go on to tell them that my car was making loud noises and I didn't feel it would be a good idea to drive back. The manager guy tried to convince me that the oil light came on because of a sensor problem...even I know that had nothing to do with it. If I drove my car with oil leaking everywhere, the Les Schwab worker said my engine could explode.
So then, the oil workers said I needed to get it towed to a mechanic. They left, never once apologizing for anything. I called a tow truck and got it towed to a mechanic near my apartment that Les Schwab recommended. The mechanic said that they doubled up on oil and it was spilling everywhere.
After a few days of going back and forth, my car was towed to another mechanic that the oil change place wanted it to go. This last week and a half, my dad has been in contact back and forth with the manager at Fast Lane. It is going to cost around $700 to fix and I had to rent a rental car too.
The manager was one of the rudest, unprofessional, and unhelpful persons we ever had to deal with. He hung up on my dad twice…so mature and responsible, right?! They continue to say that they are not paying a dime even after admitting they added an extra pint of oil. What a dishonest, unethical, and unprofessional business. I would never ever recommend coming here.
