Jack Wolf Dealership Complaint - Spare Tire Issue

On June 14 I purchased a Grand Caravan Crew. I asked the salesman & presumed his boss if there was a full size spare tire. They both have stated there was a spare tire just like the four on the vehicle. I took their word for it that day. The next day went back to the dealership and specically asked if for sure there was a full size tire.

Again I was assured there was. The next day I pulled the tire out from the vehicle and there was a temporary tire. I always get a full size tire with my vehicles. the dealership says there was a miscommunication. I disagree because there was two different times it was discussed. I think I am entitled to a full size tire and rim just like they stated there was.

And where would you put it? I'd assume the hole where it goes is meant for the donut tire that came with it and a full size wouldn't even fit.

Really a preference on your part and annoying after you asked, but if it makes a difference to you, you should have checked.

Probably didn't check the spare because was told twice it was a full size. Poster has a legit gripe IMO. Dealership should have checked, not the customer. They are the ones that said it was a full spare. I don't necessarily believe that puts them on the hook for a 5th rim and tire, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to try to come up with at least a full size spare on a generic rim.
