Orbitz Compliment - Good Customer Service
Tonight, my mother and I went into bit of a tailspin because she discovered that the dates we had originally booked to go to Los Angeles, CA was wrong and the appointment she had was the original departure date. She originally called the doctor's office to see if she could change the appointment but they were unable to budge since the doctor is so booked up. So, we had to call Orbitz to change our flights through AirTran.
Now, I've read several reviews on My3Cents and was extremely worried that we would not be helped. I informed my mom that it was definitely going to cost her some pretty pennies to change it, but she had no choice. She dialed the number and reached a customer service representative pretty quickly (under 1 minute). The representative was extremely helpful and even reassured us that everything would be taken care of. The only headache we had was the fees it cost to change which was over $300--we would have had to pay them anyway if we had booked through AirTran. The representative changed the dates and I looked on the computer after the phone call and, sure enough, she booked the correct dates.
Fortunately, our headache was turned into a smile at the end because we didn't have a headache of a representative Sure, we had to pay the fees, but that was my mom's fault, not Orbitz. I plan to post again when our trip is complete next month.
