Crooked waiter - Complaint
2105 PROMENADE BLVD., ARKANSAS -- I went to Mimi's with my sister & Mother. My sister & I used our credit card and when we received our credit card statement, weeks later, the waiter had changed the amount of our charge. I have called MiMi's & e-mailed them and each time I was told that they would handle it. 4 months later and I have not had any follow up with them. DO NOT TRUST MiMi's WAITERS. They get away with fraud and management backs the employee.

You should have filed a dispute with your credit card company as soon as they failed to correct this. Unfortunately MiMi's has sand bagged you until the 60 day window to file that dispute has expired.

Do you have your receipt? Did you notify the CC company?
This customer service has a rank odor. MiMi should have pulled her head out months ago, and corrected the problem. For shame, MiMi, for shame.

When I use a credit or debit card at a restaurant, I am very, very careful to add the charges and the tip and to write that total on the line.
If I leave a cash tip, I write "CASH" in the tip line and then fill in the total line.
When a customer leaves the tip line and total line blank, he/she leaves the opportunity for a shady server to fill in any tip desired.

Razzel, I agree. This is the kind of situation where the BBB came to my aid - after exhausting my own attempts to resolve the issue with a company, I have called the BBB in, with 100% success.
I'd like to know a few more details (what was written on the slip, what was charged), because it seems like the CC company could have resolved this.

If you ever go out again, perhaps heres an idea: Take out some cash and pay with it by cash. I do not trust any waiter with my debit card.....i always pay by cash unless i have an emergency and have to use my debit card. Better to be safe with cash.

I use cash in restaurants. I had a waitress write my number down and charge it several days in a row, pocketing the cash from the transaction. Fortunately, the restaurant was very responsive in making it right. I am wary in all situations now where they carry my card away with them. I like to see the swipe or swipe it with my own hand.

I've never had a case of fraudulent use, and there are protections built in if that ever happens. I guess I live in an area where there aren't so many thieves working as servers.
