Clearwire Complaint - Not for general usage
KIRKLAND, WASHINGTON -- Clearwire is an internet service providing company that provides wireless service, as well as other services, in most of the western U.S. This is the worst service you could ever waste your money on. The company is based in Kirkland, WA, and as everyone knows, Western WA has many cloudy/ rainy days. So why isn't internet service from a company based in this area usable during these times? If you see a cloud in the sky, be prepared for NUMEROUS, CONTINUOUS disconnects and "kick-offs" from your service. It's ridiculous really; I called to complain and was told that I should upgrade my service to their "really fast" option(I already have 4G speed), along with using a docking station (which negates the "mobile" aspect of a notebook) for better service. I was told I live less than ONE-HALF mile from one of their towers, and yet all these steps provided no improvement in service. I constantly have to disconnect and reconnect, and if I am filling out an application or gaming online, then I might have to start over from the beginning of a lengthy process. It will be a privilege to pay an early disconnect fee (which I thought I was free from as I didn't sign a x-year contract and bought the equipment) to be released from this hellish torture called CLEARWIRE.
