Ashley Furniture Complaint - Fraud
LOS ANGELES -- Well the problem started when I went to the store in Los Angeles to return some furniture that I had bought. It was a 14 pc set for 1000 dollars. In a few months the furniture started peeling off it is super bad quality. So we go in the store to reselect and the sales person does the financing and gives us a total price of 1300 for the new stuff. He assured us many times that this was the new to total he even called the bank in front of us and again assured us this was the amount we had to pay. So I get my first bill and its for 2356 dollars. I called the store and according to them the bill was right. Again I explained to them that their employee had given me another amount. I go in the store and the employee that did my financing was like yeah I did tell them that amount and yeah I did call the bank and thats the amount they gave me. So the regional manager pretty much tells me everyone makes mistakes. So now I'm left to pay for someone elses mistakes. I decide that I don't want the furniture I don't want anything to do with Ashley furniture. So I make a return. At first they didn't want to take anything back but after a change of heart or shall I say I pretty much told them I was getting a lawyer and the regional manager agrees to a return we just have to keep the mattress which is 400 dollars. By the time they picked up the furniture the manager handling my case tells me since I return all the stuff except the mattress no payments were needed because I had a 550 dollar credit for all my payments I had made. So 2 months pass and I'm waiting for an answer all this time the store manager assures me that she is taking care of everything that she had already spoke to the bank and the return process was just gonna take a while more. So I get a call from the bank telling me that my account was a delinquent account because I had not made payments. I was sooooooooo disappointed and mad to know that after all these problems I been having it was another new problem now. Not to mention that the regional manager was super rude and offensive to me.
Everyone that I spoke to in that store was super rude not to mention not helpful and not willing to own up and take responsibility to their mistakes. This is a warning to everyone do not buy from Ashleys furniture bad quality and rude employees they will brainwash you into buying their furniture. At first they are so nice when they want to make a sell after they have you in their hands everything changes.
