Tigerdirect.com Complaint - Don't Trust Advertised Products And Price @ Tiger Direct

Review by iamdboatman on 2011-06-25
MIAMI FLORIDA -- I purchased (3) Vivetek d5000 projectors from Tiger Direct. This was 2 orders (1) and (2). I received 3 remington hair dryers. Upon complaint
to the company. They admitted that my order was their fault. They admitted the projectors I had ordered were mispriced. When I challenged their order confirmation. They simply said they were not responsible for miSprint. My opinion is then why did you send me an order confirmation with the description of Vivetek d5000 projector. Then ship 3 remington
hair dryers. Why not inform me before the sale was made and charged to my mcredit card. Why not refuse to sell me the projectors at that price. Whymdid Tiger Direct refuse to honor a simple contract with their sales staff. I can't afford a lawyer but I am holding a lot of copies of the paperwork because I knew they would do the wrong thing. They did offer to give menan $ 20.00 Credit towards any other purchases with the company to offset my dissatisfaction. Tiger direct admits to bait and switch tactics. They admitted to misrepresentation and open fraud. They even tried to cover it up with an $ 20.00 Bribe for compensation. I sure hope some hot lawyer reads my complaint and isn't afraid to challenge corporate America.

I make mistakes however I also cover my mistakes at my expense. Tiger direct you need to grow up and do the right thing.

Thanks for reading this far but pleae don't get caught by Tiger Direct in any business forms. Order your stuff from a reputable company...

The "RIGHT THING" in my opinion is for them to pay for return shipping of the hair dryers, a refund (or course) and maybe a credit voucher for your troubles.

Websites make errors in listings all the time - if they had to eat them (they don't), prices for everyone would have to go up. That money has to come from somewhere - they aren't printing it in the back room.

I don't think that if you could afford a lawyer that you could use one in this matter.

i have made purchases with tigerdirect many times. this sounds like a mistake that is easily corrected. i do not see where this was fraud or bait and switch.
i did not know tigerdirect sells hair dryers.
