Nikon Complaint - Nikon D90 DSLR Breakdown
TOKYO -- After reading all the praise in relevant publications I decided to buy
the Nikon D90 DSLR as a Kit with the 18-105 lens.
However, I never suspected that the camera would let me down after only
150 shots as it developed a problem with the shutter mechanism. It was
taken for Service and the shutter had to be replaced. I was lucky to have
the service for free as the camera was still covered by the guarantee
It a pity that such an otherwise excellent camera should suffer with this sort of a problem. Please note that the camera is made in Thailand and not
in Japan and I do not know whether this has anything to do with quality
control. Perhaps I should have opted for a different brand but I was lured
into buying the D90 afted reading all the favorable reviews.
