Priceline.com Complaint - Fraudulant actions
I reserved a room through Priceline.com for the weekend of 6/24/11 to 6/26/11. Due to car trouble I was unable to make the check in date. Because of cell service in the area, I was unable to either cancel the reservation or advise the hotel of my inability to check in. After getting the car working I was able to make it to the hotel on the 25th. With my very frustrated wife and cranky 6 yr old daughter in tow. I explained my situation to the desk clerk. I told them the situation and explained that I knew that I forfeit the first day and would not be reimburst because of my lateness. Finally after a 150 mile drive and car trouble we were just looking to get some rest and a shower. I was told that my reservation had been cancelled and my room was rebooked. And that I wouldn't be able to stay in the hotel unless I was willing to pay again for a room. I told the man that I paid $220 for the room for 2 nights and he said rudely that I would have to take it up with Priceline. After that he asked us to leave the hotel if we were not patrons. PRICELINE WAS NOT WILLING TO HELP and did not care, they just quoted there policy!
