South Pacific Bistro Compliment - Excellent Asian Cuisine

Review by Starlord on 2011-06-27
CHEHALIS, WASHINGTON -- On the recommendation of a friend, we tried the South Pacific Bistro restaurant, across the street from the park and swimming pool in Chehalis, WA. It is a little difficult to find, but well worth the effort in finding it. The three of us ordered the Pork Fried Rice and my wife and I ordered the Egg Drop Soup. When the plates were brought to the table, my eyeballs nearly popped out. Each plate was fully covered and was about four inches high in the center. There were nice chunks of pork (ham, I believe) all trhough the rice, with pieces of veggies that each contributed to the deliciousness of the dish. I had dinner then and lunch the next day. The Egg Drop Soup was the best I think I have ever eaten, having bamboo shoots, water chestnut slices, corn peas and chopped celery in it. Delicious! I asked for hot tea, and was served a pot of tea that was dark and rich, not like the usual hot water most places serve. The SPB serves Chinese, both Mandrin and Szechwan, as well as Vietnamese, Thai and South Pacific cuisine. If in the event that you are in the Chehalis area. the South Pacific Bistro is worth looking up.
