Dog 'n Suds Compliment - Recommendation - Restaurant

Review by GenuineNerd on 2011-06-27
SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO -- Excellent Triple Texas Burger, and excellent root beer. Didn't have the hot dogs this time, but they're great as well. And they sell freshly-made root beer in half gallon and gallon jugs. If you're in Lorain or Elyria, I recommend Dog 'n Suds, which is one of very few that are left, and probably the only one left in Ohio. I believe Dog 'n Suds is a seasonal operation as well.

The name of the business is Dog 'n Suds.

There used to be an A&W stand on Lafayette Road in Indianapolis, IN. They had the best root beer on a ho summer day, in the nig thick glass mug, with little flakes of ice in the root beer. For some reason they went out of business, and a few weeks later, I saw them hoisting a 10-foot tall Frankenstein monster onto the building. He had a hot dog in one hand and a mug of root beer in the other. The name of the new business? Why, Frank 'N' Stein, of course.

Excellent review. We don't have a Dog 'n Suds near us, but I'm sending this information out to my friends in Illinois & Wisconsin. Looks like the type of place they'd really enjoy! Now you and Starlord have me craving a beer and dog for lunch!

We hd a dog 'n suds in Saginaw but it closed many years back.. It was very good but the neighborhood gradually changed and the business died.

Sounds good! Not much of a soda drinker but I love a great root beer every now and then. Wish we had this place near us, but I will tell my Ohio pals.
