ServiceMaster - Carpet Cleaning Complaint - Customer Service is NOT a priority
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA -- A month prior to my desired cleaning date, I scheduled ServiceMaster to clean my carpets after I moved out of my house and before my tenants moved in. They were supposed to call me the day before for necessary info but they did not, so I understandingly called them to provide it. The day the service was supposed to be accomplished they called and said an emergency had come up and they needed to postpone until the next day. I was unhappy but accepted that things happen as long as they promised to arrive as early as possible the next day. They told me 9am. The next day I get a call at 11:15 when the technician finally showed up. (In the meantime, my tenants are waiting to move in.) I called the company to let them know I wasn't happy considering my understanding the day before, etc. The dispatcher told me she hadn't gotten around to notifying the technician directly about the appointment and that I just needed to realize that my $125 job wasn't as important as a larger, more expensive job.
If you don't mind being treated like an after thought--particularly if you're JUST a residential consumer who should have all the time and flexiblity in the world to wait around for when nothing more lucrative is available, go with ServiceMaster. As for me, I'll never use them again.
