U-Haul Complaint - Uhaul rental policy - Rental policy, or lack thereof
I have read reviews on this site and others regarding Uhaul's practice of alleging to confirm a vehicle rental to consumers and then failing to provide the equipment that they agreed to provide. My own experiences over the years is, unfortunately consistent with what I read here and elsewhere, and my first hand experience with Uhaul's "customer service" is as bad as anyone can imagine. Rather than recount yet again what you all have taken the time to share, I wonder if it would not be more beneficial to the general public if we took matters into our own hands, legally and legitimately of course.
I suggest that we make reservations for Uhaul equipment, and cancel them at the last moment that we can do so without incurring a charge. This will take some thought and effort, but if we cannot cause serious harm to this slimy outfit by engaging them in their own practice, then we deserve what we get. I in no way condone any illegal practice, but I honestly believe that Uhaul is a less than legitimate company and should be drummed out of business.
Uhaul is an embarassment to corporate America, their industry, and should be a source of shame to their employees. I have checked the box that allows the company to respond to my email address, and I dare them to attempt to justify their business practice!
