Harriet Carter Complaint - Billed & delivered (tried) a canceled order
I recently tried to place an order on line with harriet carter..I tried to place it using my Paypal account but it was refused. I think because one of the items had a price of $0.00. I believe the problem was on the Harriet Carter side, since I had no problem with Paypal. I then tried my credit card and it was also a no go..so to make sure it would not accidentally be billed I hit "cancel" . On the following Monday, I received an email that said "did you forget something?" I went to the site to AGAIN cancel the order. 3 days later I received another email, this time saying my order had shipped! I didn't even know the price of the item that was listed as $0.00! I called Harriet Carter & spoke to a supervisor named Greta who said I could refuse the order ..no apologies..but did say she would immediately refund my money, a total of $113.90. (the original order was $22.94! )The next day which of course is today, I check my bank balance and no refund. Funny how they can IMMEDIATELY take the money OUT of my account but can't IMMEDIATELY put it back. The package arrived today via FedEx..I refused it but they don't give receipts so I called Harriet Carter to let them know I refused it and to make note of it in my account notes..and was told the refund was only issued this morning and will not show up for another 3 to 4 Business days. Today is FRIDAY ..so I won't see that money till maybe Tues. Harriet Carter fraudulently had an item on their site for $0.00 (they said it was a computer glitch)and fraudulently billed me and sent a canceled order to me..this is so totally wrong!
