Kaiser Permanente Southern California Complaint - Hurdles to get services at Kaiser - Doctor Appointments

Doctor Appointments - Complaint
Review by sharon123ho4 on 2011-07-01
I have Kaiser for the 6 years. It's getting harder to even schedule physicals. The centralized "Appointment Center" is difficult to get through. Once you are off hold, the operator has no idea about the medical offices or physicians. So I had to leave a message with the department through the center. On and on, runabout. My son's "primary care" doctor has no open slot for the next 2 months for physical! He will be back in school by then. Kaiser's online page says "allow 10 days to get a checkup appointment." Lies, lies.
Around the same time, my friend was able to get physicals for her 2 kids the very next week from when she first called the doctor's office. She has Aetna PPO through work. If only I can afford any higher premiums, I will leave Kaiser ASAP.

Sounds like the doctors are booked by everyone trying to get physicals scheduled for their kids or whatever. Believe me when I tell you that Aetna isn't all that much to write home about either, though.
