Charmin Freshmates and others Complaint - What is with these lousy packages?

Review by Starlord on 2011-07-03
CINCINNNATI, OHIO -- I have been using Charmin Freshmates for a number of years now, and they have gone the same route as thri competitors by putting an oval-shaped secondary lid on the plastic boxes that hold the wipes. This oval spring-up lid does not seal very well, so the next wipe is mostly dried out, or completely dried out, which I think negates the purpose of having moist wipes. Fortunately, I had an old Freshmates box, with a lid that sealed tightly, and the wipes now stay moist and useable. Proctor and Gamble, go back to the original ivory colored box with the lid that sealed securely enough to maintain the moisture. Regain your position as the Number 1 product of it's kind, and let the competitors use that lousy lid system. Dried out wipes suck canal water.

I hope you put in a call to P&G about this, Starlord! Good review and I like the "sucks canal water"!

There was the same issue at work with this brand and it was solved the same way, by placing them in a different container. Alain is right, consider giving your feedback to P&G if you haven't already.

Great insight! It reminds my of my complaint that Snapple changed to a lid that doesn't reseal properly (roundly dismissed, but valid for anyone who doesn't finish in one sitting).

Is there an 800# on the box? I would call directly if it is possible.
