Ashley Furniture Complaint - Delivery options suck - and customer needs are not considered
BURBANK, CALIFORNIA -- I work in healthcare and have an incredibly limited schedule. I explained to the sales person that I could only have a morning delivery. I was told this shouldn't be a problem, I'll get a call and they'll get me squared away. Unfortunately, there is a caveat that dictates that the BEST appointment time for Ashley, NOT the customer. If you have special needs for AM or PM....you're screwed. Basically, you must set aside the whole day when you select the delivery date. THEN, 48 hours before delivery, they tell you when they'll be there, within a 4 hour window.
I understand the need for efficiency for deliveries, but Ashely makes NO attempt to deal with their customer's unique needs, and has absolutely no workaround. Calling / emailing the corporate store only gets you scrambling "it's a franchise store, we don't have control" or "the computer does everything, we can't change it". There's only one way to view this...and that is that Ashley's needs are placed above the customers and they refuse to change it. Their managers also insist they can do nothing about "the system". Systems function based on what you program into them. Since the customer is an afterthought, we don't make it into the hierarchy for consideration of delivery.
Buy elsewhere, you'll be glad you did.
