Target Complaint - Didn't know Monks worked at Target
ALGONQUIN, ILLINOIS -- I'm not one who expects a meaningful conversation from my cashiers. In fact, I prefer if they don't. However, I do expect a reply to my hello and a "have a nice day" at the end. Apparently that's too much to ask. Last night, Baby C and I had to get soda for Hubby and cookies for her (priorities, priorities). Since I had a $5 Target gift card from an earlier trip, I decided to go there and use it. We got the soda and cookies and headed for the cash register. When it was my turn, I greeted the cashier only to met with total silence. He rang up my items, scanned my gift card and I paid the rest with my debit card at the swipe. The register spit out the receipt and he handed it to me with a mumble that MIGHT have been "have a nice day," but I'm not sure. I was going to compliment him on his ability to process an entire transaction in silence, but I didn't want to be rude or anything.
