Chipolte's Informative - Do you know of? - Chipolte's

Review by 15910 on 2005-06-15
USA, COLORADO -- Here in Colorado there is a restaurant chain called 'Chipolte's'. I know at one time McDonalds Corp. owned them but let them operate independently. They are very consistant with their service and food at the ones I've been too. Is anyone out there familiar with them?

We have a Chipotle around here. Great fast food Mexican food if there is such a thing.

Nope, but if they were owned by McDonalds, I won't give them much credit.

We have them here, I've never been to one, but I've heard they have excellent food.

No chicken wings? Well then I was correct in my assumption!

There is a Chipotle just around the corner from where I live....We have been there a couple of times and have been happy with the service!

Not sure what you're asking but we have one in town and it is nothing special. I never go in unless I have to go with a group and have no choice.

Delicious, fresh mexican food. I highly recommend it.

No wings but they have grilled chicken. I usually have the steak 'bol'. They serve beer too, biz. How many times have they "cut you off?"

Whatever biz. They're consistant. I prefer the "mom and pop" mexican restaurants for their homemade green chili. BTW, while you're asking about the wings see if they are planning to have a full bar. That can be your new office then.

Dear juilie/post #7. I was curious to know how well Chipolte's was known around the country. Consistant? Yes. My fav? No. There is a place called Juan's in downtown Denver. Best Green Chili around.

I see you can't get my experience out of your head, huh biz? You're a cheap trick that wouldn't know good food if it fell in your lap!

I agree with Julie. Its not BAD food, but fairly bland overall...Qdoba's meat isnt as good, but thier burritos taste alot better to me. Its certainly better than anything with burgers on the menu.

You are right about the meat, Legal. I have to put what seems like 'quarts' of their salsas on my meal to spice it up.

Build you own burrito?
We have one here in Houston and it is quite good. I assume its the same, its just burritos or tacos. You have them build the burrito like a sandwich in Subway, put this on, leave that off. The burrito is a meal in one, actually more, I have rarely ate the whole thing, Makes a great snack later. We thoroughly enjoy the food, good hot sauce too

Being a vegan...its a great company! They are very conscience of their ingred. (Unlike McCarcass) and I eat their whenever I'm in Vegas...try it!

The way they make the burritos sucks... you have to take 3 small bites of each section. Otherwise, you eat just a bite of rice, just a bite of beans etc.
