Orbitz Complaint - Horrible service, false information provided by employees, unhelpful
My sister & I booked a roundtrip flight from LAX to LIM with a layover in Mexico City. When we got to Mexico City, there apparently was no record of our flight. So, we had to buy new tickets that were incredibly expensive.
When we returned from our trip, we were told that we did indeed have confirmed seats. I have been trying to obtain a refund for the new tickets, and have been getting nowhere. I have spent many hours and expenses (phone cards in Peru, international calling rates from a cell phone in Mexico, multiple trips to the LAX airport, parking fees at the LAX airport, etc) to address this issue. I have been given false information along the way. Employees have been rude at some times, and still do not know the status of my request. I have tried to find out the status, and was told that customers may not directly speak to the refunds department.
