Rice Boxx Complaint - Small portions, overcharges credit card

Review by Consumerron on 2005-06-17
DENTON, TEXAS -- Hello,

Be wary of any Rice Boxx restaurant. I was victim of over charging my credit card. I placed an order for delivery and only half the order was delivered, yet they charged my card for the full order. I spent 3 days of e-mails and phone calls talking to various "owners", GM's and managers. Most of which lied about their titles. And I finally was given 1/2 my money back and 2 egg rolls for my troubles.

This place is a scam and not worth the trip as the portions are very small for what they charge. Pei Wei is a better choice as they have better portions and the taste is great.

AVOID RICE BOXX LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Luckily my bank got the credit card charges reversed for me!

I eat at Rice Boxx all the time, and if the portions aren't big enough for you, there's something wrong. I'll admit I'm not a huge eater, but I can eat a single entree for two meals! They're huge! To the original poster:
Maybe you didn't handle your half of the complaint process properly? I would imagine if you called them and told them what happened that night, they would have fixed it on the spot. They always did for me. Complaints like this are probably why they don't deliver anymore. So they gave you half your money back, and 2 free egg rolls, then you went and filed a false charge with the bank to get the entire thing credited? You're the cheat. C'mon dude! Too bad they don't deliver, I'd love to have some Rice Boxx delivered these days!
