Radio Shack Complaint - Difficult returns and Incompetent marketing department
ANSONIA, CONNECTICUT -- I recently bought a radio at Radio Shack and asked twice if I could return it to a store if I did not like it. Both times the answer was "yes".
Guess what? When I went to return it, the "manager" (only employee in store) said it could not be returned to a store. I asked him to call his customer service contact, as I had been told twice that I could. His contact confirmed that I could not return it to a store. I asked to speak to the contact, and after AGAIN explaining that I had confirmed return policies, the contact admitted that I could return to a store, but the refund would have to be through the main office. I was fine with this; however, if I had taken "no" as an answer, I would have been stuck sending it back at my expense.
Final experience with this store (and I do mean final). Today, I got an email from Radio Shack (with today's date on email) asking me to take a survey so they could improve their service. I clicked on the survey option and was immediately greated with a message informing me that the 7 day window to take the survey had expired.
Need I say more about this store??
