Staples Complaint - Problem with Staples depot repair service
When my laptop stopped working, I took it to Staples to have it repaired since it was the closest to my home. They said it was the hard drive and would have it fixed. About 2 weeks later, they called to tell me that it wasn't the hard drive, but the motherboard. They said they would send it to their depot repair and they would fix everything that was wrong. By that time it was April 7th. About 2 weeks later, I had not heard from them and called to see if the computer was back. They said it was, so I went to pick it up (this was April 22nd). Last week, the computer started to act up again and would randomly shut off. On Thursday, July 7th, I took the computer back when it would not turn on anymore. They said it was the motherboard again, but my warranty expired on July 6th and I was there the morning of July 7th. They told me that they start the warranty the day they send it out, so by the time I even got the computer back into my hands, my warranty already had over 2 weeks gone on it. They called the depot repair and were told that they would not cover it under the warranty. So, I had the computer back in my hands for about 2 1/2 months, and with a 90 day warranty, it was not covered. They told me that if I wanted to purchase a new computer, they would help me find one. Even if I was going to purchase a new computer, Staples would be that last place I purchase one from.
