Valspar Complaint - Poor results using Valspar paint

Review by Dickie Graves on 2011-07-14
8725HIGGINS ROAD SUITE 1000, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- Paint did not cure to a hard finish. Felt dry to the touch. But, after drying 10 days, any thing placed on the paint left a mark or residue (from clothes, bare skin, etc.) Web site says OK to use and customer service technicians assured OK to use on tables. It's now more than 4 weeks since painting and still not able to use. Calling customer service center, many many, many times gets false promises and failed return calls.
Based on these experiences stay away from Valspar paint unless you are looking for a horrid experience.

P.S. I've painted everything from houses to cars, so I guess it's user
error, LOL.

I'm not a big fan of Valspar paint either. I used it the last time I painted my bedroom. I used the matte finish, and you are right that it attracts stains. I have one area on the wall that has brown smudges from my pillow rubbing against it. It's cheap. Better to use Behr.
