General Electric Complaint - Slow cooker burnt my counter top almost causing a house fire
My cooker was only 4 years old. I had put on a roast and was leaving for the day so our meal would be done when I got home. My grandchildren had cracked the lid so I super glued it back together. I went to town for about an hour when I remember I had forgotten my cell phone. I went back to the house to get it and when I walked in the smell was so stong and there was a film in the air that was making my eyes burn. I thought that it was the super glue smelling. I took the lid of the cooker off and was going to just put it in the oven on low when I realized my counter top was on fire. The bottom of the cooker was melted about 8 inches across. I picked it up and through it out in the driveway. All I want is a new counter top PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
