San Marco Deli Complaint - Refusal of Delivery By Owner plus Bad Attitude
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA -- I called the San Marco Deli like I do every now and then for the delivery of breakfast because this is a deli that delivers as stated on the menu I keep on my refrigerator. I live in the apartment building next door to the San Marco Deli and have ordered delivery quite a few times. I called and the owner answered the phone and immediately had a tone in her voice stating she didn't want to take my delivery order. She first states that she doesn't normally take deliveries for residents and only businesses which is clearly a lie because I have received delivery before....that's why I have the delivery menu on my fridge. She goes on to say that you would normally have to spend $75 minimum to have a delivery order placed. It is a Deli that only opens for Breakfast/Lunch and closes at 2pm. I ordered a cheese omelette with grits and a side of links. I then stated I wanted to cancel the side of links from the order and she replies"you know what I don't need your business'. I called there because I normally was able to have breakfast delivered to me....it's 7:30am...I am just getting up and I wanted some breakfast. I could have walked over there for breakfast but I didn't want to....I chose to use their delivery option that was advertised and that I have used a few times before. I didn't expect that when I called there and it was shocking that she was able to go there to a local customer so close to her establishment. They have lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know in the San Marco neighborhood in Jacksonville FL of my experience. If she wasn't willing to deliver next door then I know there has to be a lot more people who have had a bad experience at this Deli.
