KMart.com Complaint - Don't think about good customer service

NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS -- I received two solar gazing balls as a gift from my daughter, one of which
did not light up. Called customer service about how to return the one which
did not work. They said I need the confirmation # my daughter received when
she placed the order. My daughter provided me with that and the next day I
called Kmart back with the #. Here is where this gets goofy...they said I
need to have her give them permission to talk to me about this !!!
This is not a HIPA situation nor an IRS investigation, just a store return.
After dealing with Amazon numerous times and having to return items twice,
and getting credit even before they received the item back, I KNOW I will
NEVER suggest ANYONE buy anything from KMart.

that sounds like a poor policy. you are correct, there is nothing confidential. are you able to just take it to the store and return it?

if all else fails, contact the manufacturer and see if they can make the exchange from their warehouse.
